These things are not worth the hassle. Just gives you two surfaces to clean instead of one. Garbage.

The average Traverse City family home requires 8 to 14 hours of cleaning a week. Most households aren't getting that in, and 6 of those hours didn't need them.

They're doing it themselves because explaining it to a cleaning company one more time, and being disappointed one more time, feels worse than just handling it themselves.

The problem isn't finding a better cleaner. It's that there's no baseline. The agreed-upon standard, documented and consistent, that doesn't depend on who showed up or whether you remembered to leave a note. Without it, every clean starts from scratch. Every visit is a gamble. And you're still the one holding the standard in your head.

Want the Initial Profile Overview we use with every new client? It shows you exactly what "preferences captured once" looks like in practice, and you can use it with any cleaner, not just us. Drop BASELINE in the comments and I'll send it straight to you.

If your house smells “clean” for about 40 minutes and then the funk creeps back in… it’s probably because nothing actually left. Most scented cleaners mask dust, oils, and residue, they don’t remove them. In this video I break down what dust actually is and why truly clean homes don’t smell like products at all.

Check the comments for the first surfaces to tackle (in order of impact) if you want to eliminate the smell instead of covering it. And if you want to see how we handle it at Scrub Club, drop a comment and I’ll point you there.

I saw this on another cleaners page. Some people would look at this and go "WOW! That's amazing!", and I totally agree it looks dramatic. BUT! Some people would be heartbroken over it. This is patina and it's a protective, decorative oxidation layer formed naturally over time or accelerated using chemicals like ammonia, salt, or vinegar. Antiqueing compounds can also be used to achieve patina.

It's aged like a fine wine or steak, and it's best to confirm with the owner which style they prefer.

If you’ve been booking “deep cleans” hoping it’ll finally fix the problem, this might be why it keeps coming back. A deep clean and a maintenance clean aren’t two different products, they’re the same tasks, with one key difference: surface coverage. In this video, I break down what a Setup Clean is, why it sets the standard, and how recurring maintenance + seasonal resets keep your home handled without starting over every time.

Type RESET in the comments (or DM us) and I’ll send you the Exit Checklist our team uses at the end of every Setup Clean so you can see what a documented standard looks like.

If your house never quite feels caught up, it’s probably not a motivation problem — it’s a math problem. Most family homes need 8–14 hours/week of upkeep (kids + pets = higher end), and most of us are trying to “make it work” with a fraction of that. In this video, I’ll show you how to right-size the solution to your real home load so outsourcing actually closes the gap (and you stop white-knuckling Sundays).
Want the Weekly Load Calculator to run the numbers on your own home? Drop MATH in the comments and I’ll send it.

If you’re leaving sticky notes (again) because your cleaner keeps “forgetting,” it’s not a memory problem—it’s a documentation problem. In this video, I walk you through the Scrub Club Client Profile Setup: what we record, why it works, and how it turns “re-explain every visit” into a system that remembers your home for you—so your household feels handled, not managed.
Drop HIRED in the comments (or DM us) and I’ll send the pre-hire clarity doc.

We share a building with multiple businesses, but one of them is Anytime Towing and when I see some of the cars in there I send prayers. I hope the driver and passengers walked away from that.
