Tip of the day:

Responsible ownership isn’t a one-time checkbox—it’s an ongoing mindset.

Gun owners need to find the balance between skill and attitude. Plenty of people focus on mechanics alone, but without the right mindset—patience, humility, and awareness—skill can plateau or even become risky.

The progression usually looks something like:

Safety first, always automatic (not something you have to “remember”)

Consistent fundamentals (grip, stance, sight alignment, trigger control)

Deliberate practice (not just repetition, but correcting mistakes)

Situational awareness and judgment (knowing when not to act)

Confidence built this way is very different from overconfidence—it’s quiet, controlled, and based on real ability.

Train and always carry a gun.

Tip of the day:

Let's talk about the 900 # gorilla in the room that no one seems to see. Yesterday we saw 2 separate attacks on schools by armed radicals. I would like to address the Michigan incident.

Yes, the terror attack occurred at a synagogue, but more importantly at the time of the attack was a pre-school with 140 kids on site.

The Daily Mail News reports the following:

"The shooter who drove a truck carrying explosives into a Michigan synagogue with an attached preschool has been killed, officials say".

"A man armed with a rifle was found dead inside the vehicle".

"Sheriff Bouchard previously confirmed that synagogue security engaged in gunfire with the suspect after he drove into the building".

"No students or staff were injured in the attack".

Conclusion: Armed staff trained in security saved lives. This would've been a much different outcome had the synagogue not employed armed staff/security. Why isn't this being discussed? Politicians & the MEA will not discuss armed staff in schools, "Guns bad". My experience with schools in my 30 years of law enforcement is 50/50 as to whether or not staff even wants armed police officers near the school.

The primary weapon used in this attack was a truck "They say there were mortar type explosive inside the suspect's vehicle". He was also armed with a rifle.

Parents are the only ones who can demand the change needed to get proper security in our schools. I have 3 adult children who all attended local public school. I will be extremely surprised in any of my grandchildren will ever attend a public school. If your kids attend a private school talk to them about your concerns.

Our society is filled with competent people who would make great security in schools. Hope is not a plan, and thoughts and prayers only go so far. Train and always carry a gun.

PS: Reference the terrorist attack in Virgina:

"The Virginia prosecutor, Ramin Fatehi, has publicly blamed the "cult of gun absolutism" for the deadly shooting at Old Dominion University".

Tip of the day:

I know when I'm giving mine up. Lots of people in Virgina and Minnesota are going to have to make some hard choices real soon. Great Briton gave up their guns, now they go to jail for Facebook posts. Train and always carry a gun.

Tip of the day:

The reality is that shooting under stress is very different from standing comfortably at the range. Without regular practice and proper instruction, many people overestimate their ability to perform when it truly matters. Train and always carry a gun.

Tip of the day:

When you need an attorney, it's good to have a name in mind. If you support the Second Amendment and want to support likeminded people, look no further than the Law office of David A. Bieganowski Law, PLC. You will not find a stronger more ardent defender of the Second Amendment rights. Train and always carry a gun.

An edged weapon is deadly force if used against you. Physical abilities of and distance between suspect and victim are factors for a prosecutor and jury to consider. You will be judged by the "reasonable person standard". Train and always carry a gun.

Tip of the day:

The Second Amendment doesn’t give us the right to bear arms. It restricts the government by forbidding it from infringing on a right we already possess. Train and always carry a gun.

Tip of the day:
Laws only bind the law-abiding. Restrictive gun policies create victims out of the innocent without ever touching the criminal element. Protecting one's family is a moral imperative that transcends political policy. Train and always carry a gun, you are your own first responder.
