In addition to helping humans in the office, helping animals is equally important. So every year business funds are allocated to Organizations that advocate for animals of ALL kinds. This year donations were made to Cherryland Humane Society , Humane World for Animals , and Mercy For Animals in both monthly and yearly contributions.

Wondering who the two rascals are in the photo? Those are/were my dogs Koda and Bodhi. Koda has lived the good life in a warm home since she was a puppy. And she’s still frolicking around our woods.

Bodhi had a different journey. He was found scavenging for food in an alley when I lived in Chicago. He had no collar, no chip and no idea about where he was from. He was a puppy and I think he was about 6 months old but we will never know. I brought him home and he went on to have a fun adventurous life until he passed at about 12 years old. When I volunteer and donate to shelters it’s in honor of my sweet rescue pup Bodhi that brought so much joy into my life.

For over 13 years Live Well acupuncture has been primarily a cash pay practice. This was mainly chosen because it is easier, you know, less paperwork, billing claims, etc. Then, a few months ago a decision was made.

And that was: It’s time to help as many people in the community as possible.

Prices on basic needs have been going up across the board and healthcare is no exception. So for many, self care comes down to what their health insurance plan will cover or assist with. And anything extra isn’t an option.
