Hello to a new day and our employee spotlight time! Today, we give a shout out to KRISTY OCKERT, one of our great Physical Therapists! KRISTY is someone who creates all the peaceful vibes wherever she goes. Luckily, for us, it’s in our clinic 4 days a week!
KRISTY brings expertise and lasting results with her patients. She can turn a busy day (she is often booked to the gills) into a warm one. Kristy is a very detail-oriented person and this is especially important when treating patients. Her voice is smooth as silk and she can put anyone at ease in about 3 seconds. If sunshine were a person, it would absolutely be her! Her nickname at the office is “Heart of Gold”.
Tenure: KRISTY has been with us for over 10 years
Passions outside of work: KRISTY loves being on or in the water, spending time with her family, friends, and dogs, traveling, and reading. She is currently in a workout/healthier eating contest with her middle son.
Fun Fact: KRISTY met her husband on a MSU arts and humanities study abroad program in London and Edinburgh. They are celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary this June!

Meet JOE HEILER, the owner of our clinic and the brains behind what we do every day. JOE is passionate about helping patients achieve real results. He is known for being extremely knowledgeable, calm and thoughtful. He is highly driven to learn more. JOE enjoys mentoring/teaching others on the team so our patients receive the best care possible.
Some of his favorite parts about his job are working with patients of all ages, especially HS, Collegiate and Professional Athletes. He enjoys getting to know our patients and hearing their stories.
Outside of the clinic, JOE loves Jesus, and spending time with his wife, Melissa and 4 children. Joe soaks up the simple things in life and we are grateful for his leadership he brings to the clinic every day.
Tenure: JOE has been the owner of Elite PT since 2011
Fun Fact: JOE dreams of being a farmer one day- but for now, he has started with chickens, pigs, dogs and a vegetable garden!

Meet DARLA HERBERS, one of the smiling faces behind our front desk! DARLA works hard behind the scenes, verifying insurance and making sure patients are all set before their first visit. Darla is very organized, keeps everyone on task and keeps things flowing smoothly. She is a workhorse and always wants to do her very best. On top of that, she loves helping people and making them feel welcome. She has the best laugh and can find humor in so many ways.
Outside the clinic, DARLA enjoys spending time with her grandkids, skiing, playing pickleball (she is ULTRA competitive) and getting festive by dressing up for the holidays (we love seeing what she will be wearing during those times). We’re so fortunate to have her as part of the team!

Fun Fact: Darla can still stand on her head!

Say hello to our newest Elite Physical Therapy team member/Physical Therapy Assistant, JACOB GODOSHIAN! Jacob is passionate about helping patients heal and move better every day. He enjoys working with patients of all ages, but has a special interest in helping those baseball and softball athletes return to the field, as he was a baseball athlete himself! We are thrilled to have his positive energy and dedication each and every day. Not only is JACOB a hard worker when at the clinic, he puts on his Superman cape after hours being a father while also attending Physical Therapy School several hours away every other weekend. He is an extremely driven and goal-oriented individual and we are blessed to have him!
Tenure: JACOB has been with us since January 2026
Fun Fact: JACOB played baseball at Finlandia and Cornerstone University as catcher and right field.

Happy Monday! Today we zoom in on our fabulous and friendly face that greets all our patients who enter the doors at Elite. SHANNON PIERSON! She is the heart of our team and the first welcoming voice you will hear when you call. She has an amazing ability to make every patient feel as if they have known her for years. SHANNON easily calms nerves, answers questions (or finds the answers) and is a scheduling master! She will be your biggest cheerleader from start to finish. Her memory of details about a patient is unmatched. She is truly a treasure to us.
Passions outside of work: Spending time with her family and the love of her life, Ryan, running miles and miles, listening to all sorts of podcasts and being an amazing mom and grandma.
Tenure: SHANNON has been with us for over 9 years
Fun Fact: SHANNON has a dream of hiking all the national parks. (She can also eat an entire personal watermelon or full bunch of grapes in one sitting).

Today, we are very proud to introduce our dedicated physical therapist, BRENT HULL! He brings compassion and expertise in helping others move and feel their best. He is known for his pleasant and patient temperament and works closely with his clients to help them return to moving pain-free. He is recognized by his kindness amongst our staff and our patients. When BRENT is not in the clinic, you will find him out on a run or biking the trails. We are grateful to have him on our team!
Tenure: BRENT has been with Elite for over 4 years
Passions outside of work: BRENT is passionate about sports, staying active with running, biking and XC skiing and being with his family in any capacity.
Fun Fact or Stupid Human Trick: Brent can lick his nose (a trick that can maybe come in handy?!)
