💚💙 Call for Community Support! 💚💙 Last year, ATS created the Guardians of Hope Scholarship program to help uninsured and underinsured clients pay for treatment at ATS. We immediately received client interest and are seeing even more need in 2026, as the tax credits that reduced Affordable Care Act health insurance costs expired on January 1.

If you are ready to make a difference in the health of our community, we ask you consider helping us spread the word and donate to the Guardians of Hope Scholarship program to help us build a healthier Northern Michigan together!

Now Introducing: Rural Outreach Services at ATS!💚💙

We are excited to announce new and expanded virtual services to better support our local, rural communities. From medication-assisted treatment (MAT/MOUD) and clinical assessments to a specialized Women’s Services Program and individual therapy, this new rural outreach program was designed to reduce barriers to care to make sure our community is getting the support it needs.

There’s been some confusion surrounding a recent interview ATS did and we’re here to set the record straight! ATS is NOT closing.

In fact, we’re expanding services, welcoming new clients, accepting more insurance and working diligently towards building our very own state-of-the-art addiction treatment facility in the coming years.

As we work towards expansion, (months ago) we did temporarily pause our Recovery Homes program and Women’s Residential Treatment program, but only so we could sell those 7 houses in downtown Traverse City to open up the funds for us to build our own headquarters, with all of our services and programs under one roof. This improves client care, staff culture, and reduces the amount of money a small nonprofit is spending on upgrading 11 facilities constantly. It's what we must do in order to secure the future of ATS.

Thank you for stopping by to learn more about the future of ATS, 9&10 News!💚💙 As we move closer to our goal of getting everyone into one facility to improve client care, we know there will be hiccups, but we are taking all the precautions we can to make sure our Northern Michigan community doesn't go without the support it needs.

We've expanded from Medicaid to accept more insurance, have a scholarship in place for the uninsured and underinsured, and have more Telehealth and outpatient services than ever.
