‘Tis the season for coughing, sneezing… and accidental leaking 😬

But before you start side-eyeing every tickle in your throat, here’s how to brace yourself (literally) and keep your core + pelvic floor happy this season 👇

💨 1️⃣ Turn your head when you cough or sneeze
Redirects pressure so it’s not shooting straight down onto your pelvic floor. Little shift = big difference.

🧍‍♀️ 2️⃣ Hinge + brace (extra gold stars if you use a wall)
A slight hip hinge + a gentle back press into the wall helps you manage intra-abdominal pressure like a pro.

🧘‍♀️ 3️⃣ Gather before the storm
Right before a cough/sneeze, gently “zip up” the pelvic floor (not squeeze!). That tiny moment of awareness can save you from a not-so-fun surprise.

Because yes—cold & flu season may hit hard…

I hear it quite a bit

Watching so many moms grinding through endless cardio, HIIT, and long workouts, only to end up with back pain, leaks, and very little progress…ugh!

How much does it cost?

………to never fill your cup?

To not set an example for your kids?

To have a lifetime of negative self talk?

How much does it cost to not be present and happy and healthy as time slips through our fingers?

It’s ironic how self care is looked at as selfish.

When it’s the least selfish thing you can do.

It’s ironic

But I get it.

I just don’t know how anyone could put a price on learning how to properly care for themselves

(Especially if you are want you wants to care deeply for the ones you love)

Either focus on your health now, while you still have a choice…Or wait till you don’t.

Prioritize yourself out of a place of self love

Or do it out of a place of “I don’t have any other choice, I’m sick”

And whether that’s sick physically, mentally or emotionally- You aren’t invisible and it will catch up to you.

Stop putting yourself on the back burner.
Stop pretending like “you don’t care”
Stop blaming the state of the world
Stop.

Time waits for nobody.

Start making yourself proud.
Start prioritizing yourself
Start growing
Start.

Or wait for life to make you do so.

Either way, it’s your choice, And only yours.

And no, you didn’t learn this s**t in school

And you probably didn’t learn it from your parents either

And that’s not your fault.

But staying the same

Or slowly getting worse…
