I have to rave for a minute. 🍃 This Basil blend will knock the socks off every other dried Basil in your spice cupboard. MULLEIN 💚 Every so often an herb really starts to trend. I can always tell because of the sudden influx of requests I receive for said herb. Right now it seems to be time for Mullein to shine. I thought for sure it would be during the onset of the pandemic, as this is my #1 respiratory support herb. But, surprisingly (or not), it was making the internet rounds then as a popular substitute for toilet paper during the great toilet paper shortage of 2020. Which is ironic on several levels, and if you have ever tried wiping with this lovely plant 🙋‍♀️ you’d know that those little hairs that appear soft are actually quite irritating 😅

So…why Mullein? It is a demulcent and expectorant herb, meaning it soothes the mucous membranes in the lungs while also helping expel phlegm. It has a gentle sedative quality that makes it perfect for a before bed elixir (especially tasty with milk and honey) ☕️

What products do we put it in? Our chest rub has mullein infused into the base oil. We have a seasonal tea that is sometimes available (though not currently) with Mullein and White Pine. We don’t have it in any of our main teas because those fine hairs necessitate more filtering than most teas, so it’s suggested to use a coffee filter or very fine steeper to strain.

We WILL BE creating a custom product or two ✨ think infused honey ✨ for our Winter Wellness Boxes featuring Mullein! These are available for purchase through Dec 31st on our website!

Stocking stuffers for the tea lover in your life! Our sampler teas are available this weekend at our upcoming shows (see below) and on our website sold as sets! These also make excellent favors, hostess/host gifts or a little something to show your appreciation. And, it’s a great way to try out our teas without making the leap into a big tin or bulk quantity.

We had so much fun at our winter wellness and wreath making workshop a little over a week ago! Thanks to all who came out and to Carissa for leading the wreath making. It was a beautiful day creating, learning and connecting with everyone in our two sold out sessions. Already looking forward to doing this again next year!
