This Saturday was a beautiful reminder of what community care truly looks like. ❤️

TruDoulas of NJ had the honor of serving 49 families with both baby essentials and a Thanksgiving food bag filled with nutritious items to support their holiday weekend.

At TruDoulas, we know food insecurity is a maternal health issue. With our new grant, we’ll soon begin offering regular nutritional food bags for pregnant and postpartum families providing consistent access to healthy foods year-round.

JFCS is a proud recipient of a grant through the New Jersey Economic Development Authority Food Equity and Economic Development in New Jersey (FEED NJ) Pilot Program. The funds will sustain our vital mobile distributions in Trenton and expand our reach through an innovative partnership with TruDoulas of New Jersey and United Way of Greater Mercer County
Our new outreach will provide specialized nutritional foods to expecting and post-partum mothers along with resources and benefit enrollment through UWGMC.

Perinatal Health Equity Initiative (PHEI).

PHEI is currently in the running for a grant that will strengthen services for birthing families, expand community-based support, and help advance birth equity across New Jersey. They are so close to moving into the top spot and your vote can help!
