What happens after your braces come off? 🦷✨

Getting your braces off is such an exciting moment, but orthodontic treatment doesn’t fully end that day.

After braces come off, retainers are key. Your teeth naturally want to shift back, especially in the first few months, so wearing your retainer as instructed helps keep all that hard work in place. We’ll also check your bite, make sure everything is settling properly, and go over how to care for your retainer at home.

And of course, one of our favorite parts is celebrating the milestone. Big smiles, photos, and yes, a stop at our candy wall. We love making sure patients leave feeling proud of how far they’ve come.

🦷 Did you know plaque can harden in as little as 24–48 hours?

When plaque isn’t removed regularly, it can turn into tartar, especially around brackets, and once that happens, it can only be removed professionally.

That’s why consistent brushing and flossing is so important during orthodontic treatment.
