Access to care is a right, and APNs are enablers of that right.

From city clinics to rural communities, Advanced Practice Nurses are expanding access and driving health equity every day — but outdated restrictions keep too many from practicing independently, slowing care for patients that need it most.

NJSNA is advocating for full practice authority in New Jersey, removing these barriers and making it easier for APNs to practice to the full extent of their training, education and licensure.

Today, and every day, we honor the tireless dedication of our Advanced Practice Nurses who are a critical pillar of health care access and quality.

Research shows APNs deliver outcomes that match or exceed expectations while improving patient satisfaction and lowering costs. Yet, outdated regulatory barriers still limit their full potential.

That’s why this week NJSNA is not only celebrating APNs, we’re continuing to fight for full practice authority so that our APNs can serve at the top of their education, training and credentialing.
