November is National Caregivers Month — and behind the scenes, caregivers are fighting every day to keep their families safe and housed.

At CHSofNJ, our Kinship Navigator Program walks beside them.

Just this month, a grandmother caring for children faced eviction after one unexpected setback. After 10+ years in her home, she was on the brink of losing everything. But together — the caregiver, her landlord, and our Kinship case manager — found a rare, life-changing solution:

-Legal fees dropped

-Back rent covered

-Monthly payments reset

A family housed for more than a decade kept their home.

This is the power of support. This is what Kinship does every day.

Standing with caregivers. Lifting up families.

❤️

🎉🎂 Happy 6th Birthday, AMAR!

Since 2019, our CHSofNJ AMAR Community Doula Program has helped welcome 445 beautiful babies into the world — 149 just this year!

That’s a lot of love, lullabies, and late-night diaper changes — made brighter thanks to our amazing doulas (and support from The Burke Foundation!) 🌟

Fun fact: “Amar” means “to love” in Spanish — and that’s exactly what our doulas do. ❤️

Pregnant? Our doulas offer services in Spanish!
Contact Silvia Corado at 609.649.2433 or scorado@chsofnj.org

Here’s to more babies, more love, and more AMAR! 🎈💕

Honoring All Who Served — Including Our Own, CEO Julie Dees

Today, we proudly celebrate all U.S. Veterans — and especially our own, Julie Dees, CEO of CHSofNJ.

“I joined the U.S. Air Force right after high school because I wanted to serve my country and because the GI Bill was the only way I could afford college. I am deeply proud of that service.

The Air Force taught me discipline, accountability, and the power of service to something bigger than yourself. Those lessons shaped my character, my leadership, and how I show up every single day.

They made me the leader I am today — and they’re at the heart of how I now serve as CEO of The Children’s Home Society of New Jersey, fighting for children and families with the same clarity of purpose I learned in the military.”

Thank you, Julie, and to all who have worn the uniform, for your service and sacrifice. ❤️💙

November is National Adoption Awareness Month — a time to honor every life touched by adoption. ❤️

Adoption connects more people than you might imagine — adoptive parents, birth parents, and adoptees — each with their own powerful story to tell.

Adoptive parents celebrate their journeys to parenthood and the beautiful families they’ve built.

Birth parents deserve recognition for their courageous, love-filled decisions to create brighter futures for their children.

Adoptees share invaluable perspectives about identity, belonging, and what family truly means.

Stay tuned for a heartwarming CHSofNJ story celebrating how love, courage, and connection brought one family together.
