She is also unique in that she has been certified in the field of Animal Assisted Interventions and Psycotherapy . This emerging field in the US has been well-established abroad.It provides for treatment solutions through the use of certified therapy animals in treatment goals.Dr. Fuchs served as the Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry at St. Francis Medical Center for over 20 years as well as a Clinical Assistent Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Medicine and Dentristy of New Jersey. She has consulted at the Katzenbach School for The Deaf as well as with the Child Study Teams in New Brunswick, Hillsborough and Pennsbury Townships.
