There is no becoming without healing.
We like the idea of growth.
The new version.
The stronger, calmer, more confident self.
But we often want it without doing the uncomfortable work in between.
Healing is that middle space we try to skip.
The slowing down.
The honest self-reflection.
The moments where you admit, “This hurt me,” instead of pretending it didn’t.
Unhealed wounds don’t disappear because you’re busy, successful, or smiling.
They just get quieter. And then they shape your reactions, your choices, your relationships.
Becoming isn’t about reinventing yourself overnight.
It’s about tending to the parts of you that were ignored, rushed, or bruised along the way.
You don’t outgrow pain by running faster.
You outgrow it by healing.
And healing, slowly and imperfectly, is what makes real becoming possible.
