Feel Good Friday ✨

When she started care, everything hurt.
Tight hips.
A low back that would randomly give out.
And a lot of uncertainty about what her body could handle.

Today, she’s finishing her care plan and heading into summer excited to move again — daily walks with her puppies and lifting multiple times a week!!

Many women we see are constantly holding their stomach tight.

During workouts.
During the day.
Even when they’re just standing still.

Usually because they’re afraid something might leak, drop, or feel heavy.

But your pelvic floor doesn’t work alone.
It works together with your breath and deep core to manage pressure.

When you brace your stomach all day, pressure pushes downward instead of being shared through the system.

This drill helps retrain your body to support without gripping!

A lot of the time, it’s not just about the pelvic floor itself.
Your core, breath, and pelvic floor all need to work together to manage pressure during movement.

Our patients rarely lead with “I leak.”

They say:
• “I just don’t jump anymore.”
• “I modify everything.”
• “It’s not a big deal.”

But it IS a big deal!

Because it chips away at confidence.

And here’s what most women are never told:
Leaking during laughter, running, or workouts is NOT automatically weakness.

It’s usually a pressure and timing issue.

Your pelvic floor has to coordinate with:
Your diaphragm.
Your rib cage.
Your deep core.
Your movement patterns.

Random kegels do NOT fix that.
Avoidance does NOT fix that.

Leaking during workouts is common…

and it’s rarely about doing more kegels or “trying harder”

Most of the time, it’s your body compensating and needing better support and coordination.
