If you have ever been a patient in the hospital at Troy Regional, you have probably been taken care of by one or both of our amazing hospitalists, Dr. Jamie Caudill and Dr. Lyn Diefenderfer!

A hospitalist is a physician who specializes in the care of patients while they are hospitalized. Hospitalists focus exclusively on managing the care of hospitalized patients, rather than splitting their time between office visits and hospital rounds.

Thank you, Dr. Caudill and Dr. D., for the care you give and the compassion you show our patients every day! And thank you for the guidance and encouragement you give our team!

Happy National Radiologic Technology Week! This week, we pay tribute to the dedication and expertise of radiologic technologists. The American Society of Radiologic Technologists established this week in 1979 to align with the discovery of X-rays by Wilhelm Roentgen on November 8, 1895.

It is Medical Surgical Nurses Week! This week honors the medical-surgical nurses who make a difference in the lives of patients every day. Med-surg nurses provide care 24/7 and have more face time with patients than any other professional in the hospital. They are trusted by patients and valued by colleagues as highly skilled and compassionate caregivers.

We love our amazing med-surg nurses and appreciate the compassionate and attentive care they give our patients!

We are so appreciative of the donation of wonderful gift baskets from Troy Elementary School and Pike Liberal Arts students to our Infusion Center patients. We also want to thank Julianna Knight for putting together the baskets. Our center provides chemotherapy and other treatments to our patients.

Troy Regional team members enjoyed Halloween Spirit Week with activities every day.

Monday was “Frightful Feet” Day. Tuesday featured a “Candy Jar Challenge.” (The winners are pictured.) Wednesday brought “Leaves of Kindness” as team members shared nice notes about their co-workers. Thursday, the Monster Munch provided an opportunity to sample delicious desserts, and entries in the Scarecrow Contest were placed on display. Today, team members got to trick or treat in their Halloween shirts as the treat cart made its rounds! The winners of the Scarecrow Contest were also announced! (Check out the entries and the winners in the photos!)

October is National Physical Therapy Month! It is a time dedicated to recognizing and celebrating the contributions of physical therapists and physical therapist assistants to our health, community, and quality of life.
