Kenneth R. Bohner

Kenneth “Ken” Bohner, 54, of Columbia Cross Roads, Pennsylvania, left our lives on March 5, 2026, leaving behind a life defined by love, laughter, music, and family.

Ken strived to live life to the fullest, and to not take any moment for granted. That’s what guided the life he built with the love of his life, his wife, Heather. The two met when Heather began working at Wiggle Radio in August of 2005, a moment that would begin 20 beautiful and adventurous years together. Their love was full of laughter, inside jokes, and shared passions, including Mets baseball, extensive travel, playing PlayStation together, and many Wednesday nights spent laughing, competing in trivia with their dear friends Kris and Bob Dibble and their team, Dibbs and Bones.

Ken and Heather also shared a unique adventure together on the airwaves. For 15 years they co-hosted the Bridge Morning Show on 95.3 The Bridge, bringing classic hits and funny banter to listeners each morning. Known on air as Kenny and Heather. Kenny Lane, was a voice that many came to recognize and enjoy. For Ken, there was nothing better than sharing his life and music with listeners, anddoing it alongside the woman he cherished.

Above all else, Ken was a devoted dad and grandpa. He was the kind of dad who was equal parts fun and softhearted. The kind who laughed loudly, loved fully, and showed everyone that emotion wasn’t a weakness, but a strength to remind people how much they were loved.

Ken treasured time with his children and the many family vacations they shared together. His greatest pride was watching his family grow and thrive. He also loved his monthly Strat nights with his brother and golfing with family and friends.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Heather; his children Kenneth Bohner, Danielle (Oscar) Granados, Gabrielle (Zachary) Bohner, and Olivia Tate; and his cherished granddaughters Stella and Mavis, who brought him endless joy.

He is also survived by his loving parents Michael (Linda) Bohner and Donna Witmer; his brother Michael (Jennifer) Bohner; step-sister Tara Witmer, cousin Lee (Cheri) Paul, sister in law Sarah (Steven) Murray, nieces Michelle, Melina, Haven, Teegan and Ashtyn, and nephew Zachary along with many extended family members and friends who will forever remember his big heart, and his laughter

Ken was preceded in death by his sister, Donna Jean and stepfather Darwin Witmer along with his grandparents and aunt, Bunny (Bohner) Paul.

Ken’s life was one of enthusiasm and heart whether he was singing along to a Tom Petty or Def Leppard song, being excited for their next travel adventure, cheering hard for his beloved Denver Broncos and New York Mets, or sitting around a trivia table and drinking an old fashionedor a Coors Lite with friends.

Those who knew him best know the lesson he would want everyone to remember, love fiercely, cherish every moment, and do all the things.

And somewhere, if you listen closely, it’s easy to imagine Ken signing off the way he lived his life with music playing, love surrounding him, and the voice of the woman he loved beside him on the mic. We’ll talk atcha bright and ugly tomorrow morning.

In accordance with Ken’s wishes, there will be no public service. The family has entrusted the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. with the arrangements.

Grief can feel isolating, but one of the greatest gifts you can offer someone who is hurting is simply your presence.

Sometimes helping doesn’t mean finding the perfect words. It means listening. It means allowing space for tears, memories, silence, and even laughter. A willing ear and a compassionate heart can bring more comfort than you realize.

If someone you care about is grieving, reach out. Ask how they’re doing. Let them talk. Let them remember.

And if you need support or resources for navigating loss, we are always here to help.

🌊 Options for Cremated Remains 🌊
For families whose loved one felt most at peace by the water, a seaside scattering can be a meaningful way to say goodbye. The ocean’s rhythm, the sound of the waves, and the open horizon can create a beautiful and personal tribute.

Some families choose a method sometimes referred to as “beaching,” a gradual release of ashes near the shoreline, allowing the tide to carry them peacefully out to sea.

If you’re considering cremation and would like to explore the many ways to honor your loved one’s life and passions, we’re here to guide you with care and compassion every step of the way.

“Only people who are capable of loving strongly can also suffer great sorrow, but this same necessity of loving serves to counteract their grief and heals them.”
— Leo Tolstoy

Grief is the price we pay for deep love. The depth of our sorrow reflects the depth of our connection. While loss can feel overwhelming, the very love that causes our pain is also what sustains us in memories, in stories, in the bonds that never truly break.

If you are carrying grief today, may you also feel the love that remains. And if you need support, a listening ear, or guidance, we are here for you.
