Vertebral Subluxation: A Neuromechanical Trigger for Signaling Failure
Vertebral subluxation is not just a bone-out-of-place idea. It is a living systems idea. At its core is the recognition that mechanical distortion in the spine alters the flow of information through the nervous system. When that happens, tissues governed by that information operate on corrupted instructions.
The disc relies on:
• proper mechanotransduction
• consistent pulsatile loading
• balanced sympathetic and parasympathetic tone
• neuroimmune regulation
• normal cellular energy metabolism

Every one of these processes can be disrupted by subluxation.
When joint motion is abnormal and the nervous system is stressed, the signals that govern disc biology become distorted. That distortion affects glutamine metabolism, inflammation control, fibroblast behavior, hydration channels, and extracellular matrix remodeling. The result is exactly what the new study describes: not disc failure but failure of the messages that tell the disc how to repair.

Chiropractic Adjustments Restore Signaling Integrity

Chiropractic adjustments do not “crack the spine back into place.” They restore normal motion, reduce aberrant mechanoreceptor input, and improve the organization of the nervous system’s communication networks. When this happens, the tissues downstream from that nerve system regain access to the signals that regulate repair and adaptation.

This is not theoretical. Numerous studies document that adjustments result in:
• improved proprioceptive signaling
• changes in brain processing of sensory information
• altered autonomic output
• improved HRV
• restoration of normal joint biomechanics
• changes in inflammatory markers
• improved muscle tone and coordination
When the nervous system reorganizes, the cells in the disc begin receiving normal instructions again. That is precisely what the new research highlights. The issue is not that the disc is “worn out.” The issue is that the signaling environment is corrupted. Adjustments help restore that environment. Reason to stay regularly checked and adjusted if needed.

Building natural immunity far out paces artificial shots, especially the ones that are making you sicker and less protected.

The trial data published in the NEJM last week focused exclusively on adults 18 to 64, even though nearly 60% of the Phase 3 clinical trial participants were 65 or older — suggesting Pfizer intends to heavily market its mRNA flu vaccine to older adults. The trial data omitted from the NEJM study, ...

In chiropractic philosophy, we call this TONE. Tension that's neither too much nor too little. It's TONE. Each adjustment is designed to provide the neurologic stimulus to create tone.
