✨In The Community✨

Last week Doctors Sarah & Breanne from Speigletown participated in a Lunch and Learn at the Capital District YMCA Parkinson’s Center on Wolf Rd

Approximately 50 people attended this event, and were educated on the Importance of Exercise and Physical Therapy in Parkinson’s Disease

We discussed:

↗️Current exercise recommendations for those with PD, different options and how the Parkinson’s center offers many classes that are available to the community.
↗️The individualized approach PT can provide and how it can help with specific needs for both the individual and caregiver
↗️ The LSVT program, what this entails and how it has been successful for this population.
↗️Demonstrations and completed some exercises together and answered questions!

🩸Last night we attended Blood Cancer United Student Visionary Grand Finale celebration! For 7 weeks these bright students from around the Capital Region raised funds and awareness to help end Blood Cancer regionally. We were proud to join team Soaring Eagles led by Dr. Ace’s mentee Sory, and support this amazing foundation and cause.

Blown away by the top teams success in raising $239k & $229k respectively in just 7 weeks, and the entire 2026 Student Visionaries grand total of $629,529!

Thank you to our Choice PT community who stepped up for this and donating a total of $2,655 towards that total. 💙💛 This was our highest fundraiser in our 10 year history and we appreciate you all so much!

Tomorrow morning we are hosting a Snow Day Fitness Zoom class, *free* to all of our Choice PT Community, friends & family!! We've had our fair share of snow related schedule changes and want to give back to you all, in the form of movement!

❄️❄️Thank you for your flexibility as we have decided to close for the morning appointments at our Campbell Ave, Speigletown, and Wynantskill locations! (Greenville will remain open all day)

Hopefully we will be back in action by 1pm tomorrow as we know our city and towns will be working hard through the night to make our roads and facilities safe.
