He was born on July 23, 1955, in East St. Louis, Illinois, and was the son of the late Henry “Junior” and Beverly (Cheli) Schultz. Elbert was united in marriage to Kennajo Marie Burger on October 29, 1973, in Millington, Tennessee, and to this union, they welcomed one son and one daughter. Over the years, their favorite saying was “Love is, I love you, you love me, and that’s the way it has got to be!”
