Aquatics Nicole I am a Certified Aquatic Therapist who loves to design inclusive aquatic programs that serve all abilities and ages. I'm a water baby. I'm a water healer.

My talent is providing healing aquatic bodywork. However, empowering kids of all abilities to learn to swim is a gift back to me. I'm an aquatic therapy educator. I love all things water. PROGRAM DESIGN: I can work with your facility to develop new specialty aquatic programs for the underserved or new target market. If there is a body of water, I can design an appropriate program. Through Specialty Aquatic Programs LLC, my business, we have over 26 highly effective and innovative aquatic clinic services and programs developed and implemented. AQUATIC THERAPY EDUCATOR: I am determined to find and mentor more aquatics professionals who believe in water healing as well. I will work with organizations, facilities and businesses to train their staff to implement specialty aquatic programs with clinical and effective data. I also love working with community in sharing pool healing topics that have empowering results. Bring it on. AQUATIC THERAPIST: I do take private pay clients, flex spending, and some health insurances with a physician script. For private pay, I/we (Specialty Aquatic Programs) do accept a sliding scale. My background and degree is a Recreation Therapist. Through a variety of methods and techniques, Recreation Therapists help reduce or eliminate the activity restrictions and increase the overall wellness of the individual. I work/serve a diverse population including those who suffer from neurotrauma, chronic pain, geriatrics, PTSD, adults with developmental disabilities, pre and post rehab and sensory issues through community reintegration and aquatic therapy.

I really, really am enjoying the growth of our She Swims and She Strong Programs in Plymouth, MI location. Words cannot describe the joy my staff and I witness with our budding female water lovers. Of course, as a boymom living in a frat house, I just think I really crave the good energy.

Since 2012 I’ve run an aquatic therapy practice focused on quick results and full community integration. Along the way I saw too many unique learners being missed by traditional swim lessons at community pools.

So I built something different.

What started as a solution grew into an unexpected swim school — and a mission to make our communities safer by teaching swimmers of all abilities.

Learning isn’t monolithic. Swim instruction shouldn’t be either.

Now I’m ready to grow my team.
If you love the water and believe swim skills are for everyone, let’s talk. I have mentored high school and college students, allied health professionals, special education teachers and really good moms of kids with unique needs.

Thank you Katy, Marisa, London, Lily and Layla for your important Rec Therapy skillset and adaptive wonder and care you bring to our 💧 programs and 🏊‍♂️ students.

👋 I definitely have a soft spot for Rec Therapists. If you are looking for an afternoon a week to a couple days a week to work in the water, we definitely have the pool space and referrals for some more talented Recreational Therapists or Recreational Therapy Students (who are eager to learn).
