Sherry is two weeks from successful ventral hernia repair. She noticed my paintings in the office and became inspired to resume her passion for creating art as well and presented this newly finished piece as a gift of gratitude for her surgery and her new found motivation. As an artist, I understand that giving a painting to an individual is a very meaningful form of appreciation and I am touched by her gracious gesture. She wanted one of my paintings on the wall in the photo as well. Thank you Sherry.

Janet's weight loss journey included Gastric band done several years ago which like many bands failed to produce long term success. It was removed in 2016 and she saw me 3 years later wanting a sleeve. We talked over her situation and eventually she chose RNY Gastric Bypass done last year with dazzling success. She is so pleased with her decision. Many former band patients are reluctant to go with Gastric Bypass but in reality, it's their best choice. Congrats to you Janet for having the courage to believe. .

This year's graduation dinner with five well trained general surgeons who completed six rigorous years of training that included the pandemic their intern year. A great group of young professionals. Debra had Robtic RNY Gastric Bypass in May 2023 when she was 64 years old and weighed 297 lbs BMI 53, suffering from diabetes, on insulin shots 4x a day and terrible reflux. She decided she wanted real change. Now, 18 months later she weighs 160 lbs BMI 27 and CURED of diabetes, sleep apnea, and no reflux. Ana is 96 years young and 2 weeks post op robotic inguinal hernia repair. No pain and already back to her active life, cooking, cleaning, walking without assistance. She is a wonder. We talked about her longevity. Growing up in Puerto Rico, she established a diet she continued here of Fresh fruits, vegetables with minimal meat. No to***co and rare sip of wine on holidays. But most importantly, her mental outlook is always positive. Kind, loving, with forgiveness and gratitude as her pillars. I first did surgery on her when she was only 91(see post Aug 2018) and feel blessed to know her, her lovely daughter and be a part of her amazing story.
