When people see alopecia, they often see a “cosmetic” change. But for those living with it, the impact goes so much deeper than the surface.
Alopecia is an autoimmune disease. It’s the body’s internal system attacking itself, and it brings a lot more than just patches:
The Physical: Increased risk of sunburns, eye irritation, and even painful nail changes.
The Medical: It often travels with other conditions like thyroid issues or eczema.
