New Mommy & Me class at the Alchemy space in Downtown Truckee!
Every 1st and 3rd Wednesday @ 11am.

This Mommy & Me class is a welcoming, casual gathering designed to support new mothers and their babies (0–12 months-ish) through connection, conversation, and community.

Each session offers a space to learn, contribute, and build meaningful relationships with other moms in a similar season of life. Classes will feature guest speakers on topics relevant to early motherhood, encouraging conversation, reflection, and genuine connection among mothers.

Babies are always welcome to be themselves: feeding, sleeping, fussing, and playing are all part of the experience. There is no pressure to perform, fix, or have it all together—this is simply a space to show up as you are.

Whether you’re seeking support, friendship, reassurance, or a sense of belonging, this class exists to remind you that you are not alone—and that community is one of the most powerful tools in motherhood.

This 90-minute Maternal Rage Workshop is a space to breathe, learn, and reset. Together we’ll explore the anatomy of anger, uncover personal triggers, and practice practical tools to transform frustration into calm and connection.

Donna Reid ~ Birth Photographer

Donna Reid has been a Tahoe photographer since 2000 when she started her business: A Day In Your Life Photography.
She received her BS degree in Photojournalism from the University of Florida. In ’94, she found Tahoe. While shooting film, she was the only photographer in Tahoe doing documentation and had the edge on wedding photography, but she always wanted to do births. Then a friend gave her that opportunity. Donna now has 36 births under her belt. She stresses to look out of the box. She only shoots black and white, she is by the mothers’ shoulder observing the room waiting for the moment the child appears. She is documenting all the beautiful aspects of this amazing event without intrusion. She only shares those images that all can see. For those in the family who can’t be present for this momentous occasion, Donna’s images tell the story and are captured in a respectful and delicate way.

The Mommy + Me Groups at The Peace Offering have been blossoming with mamas and babies from 3 weeks old to 13 months! I have two exciting guest speakers coming up for you.

>>> Please note - Due to The Grand Re-Opening of The Peace Offering, we will not have class on August 28th. Instead, there will be 2 classes in September. One on Wednesday September 4th (this class is FREE and will be accompanied by a special photographer) and September 25th.

Guest speaker for September 4th:

🌟Jess Kempher - Massage Therapist🌟

Jess is a massage therapist, yoga guide, and mother who helps women feel better in their bodies through movement and touch. She pulls from her knowledge of many different modalities to create simple practices and rituals that you can use to create a deeper relationship with yourself.

Jess will be leading a class on self massage techniques that are simple enough to practice at home. These gentle techniques promote healing and unwind tension and stress held in the body and mind. We will focus on common issues for postpartum mamas and babies and will make space for specific questions as well. A variety of supplies will be available including massage cups and massage gun.

✴️ This class will have a photographer present to take photos of you and your babe for marketing purposes. Because of this and our appreciation for you, this class will be FREE. However, pre-register is still required.

Dr. Abbe is pleased to introduce herself, a vitalistic family centered chiropractor in Tahoe City, CA. This class is prepared for you + your family to bring more wellness through our nervous systems during the parenting season and for the neurological development of your little one. 95% of our brain and nervous system develop in the first few years of life, starting in the womb!

Dr. Abbe will discuss what the nervous system is responsible for, how it works, and how to guide ourselves into more openness through the concepts of co-regulation and neuro posturing. She is looking forward to meeting you all!

🧡Mommy + Me will look a little different for a few months starting in November 2024. 🧡

Some of you may already know that I am joining you all in motherhood. It gives me great excitement to share the news that I am expecting a little one, my first, due at the end of November. Please continue to join Alex Ley, of The Peace Offering, as she holds space for the groups while I am on maternity leave.

🌟 From November 2024 to May 2025, she will be offering Mommy and Me Group weekly, in a more casual group hang-out with sporadic guest speakers sprinkled throughout. Class will still be 10:30am-noon, every Wednesday. Pricing is the same as well. 🌟

I may return earlier but this is my current plan! 🪴
