Fresh cow milk has been stocked!

Hey roos and chicks!
We are refilled on a fresh stock of raw goat milk ( not for human consumption, ofcourse), from Rio Grande Creamery!
This week , they also brought in HUGE loaves of jalapeno cheddar sourdough bread. Thanks to the generosity of one of my favorite customers, I was able to taste it, and I can confirm it was delicious! It had a perfect crumb when cut in half, the bounce of the bread was perfect against the light crisp of the crust.The jalapeno and cheese was scattered evenly through the inside. I highly recommend! Along with the bread came delicious , fresh pecans and samples of ice cream with fresh fruit, that will be coming soon! We are so excited to have Rio Grande Creamery as part of the Mercantile family!

We are so excited to welcome Sunny Stella into the Hot Springs Mercantile family.

When we first connected, what stood out to me wasn’t just the books or the beautiful designs. It was the heart behind them. Sunny Stella is about curiosity, resilience, hands-on learning, and that deep connection between nature, family, and growing strong from the inside out. That fits perfectly with what we believe in here.

For those of you who don’t know, Sunny Stella is a story-based educational collection created by Susan Shining-Star. What began as backyard adventures has grown into a full product line that includes storybooks, companion workbooks, magnets, picture cards, and apparel, all centered around exploration, character development, and learning through real-life experiences.

This isn’t just merchandise on a shelf. It’s part of a bigger vision. A vision that ties together homesteading, nature education, and whole-person wellness.

You’ll now find Sunny Stella products available right here inside the Mercantile. We love supporting creators who build with purpose, and this line does exactly that.

Monday messages from the Mercantile:
First we would like to say a big warm thank you to Sherry Farr of Range Beef for taking time this weekend to teach Pressure canning of beef. You can currently find her beef at the farmer's market in Ralph Edwards park and the Sierra Makers Market.
This weekend we took in 3 separate vendors. We'd like to welcome Satya Cobble to the mercantile , with her one hundred percent beeswax candles, Karleen Crandall Gorham from Its Fate embroidery, with pot holders, tea towels, garden hats and more. And, Leah Smith with raw goat milk for animal consumption only ofcourse. We know that you will enjoy products from all of these ladies. Help me give them a warm Mercantile welcome!
This week, we are moving back into a full schedule. As of right now, we will have hours 9 to 3 Monday through Thursday and 10 to 6 on Friday.These may be adjusted as we decide on a final schedule.

If all goes according to planned, we will be doubling the retail space by April. We are inviting select vendors to join our transition into The Hot Springs Mercantile.
Calling all farmers, gardeners and canners. Also taking apothecary, bath and beauty, aprons, tea towels, freeze dried foods, natural cleaning products, cutting boards, pottery, plants. Then ofcourse we will have our previously loved section of appliances, and kitchen gadgets, cotton or linen clothing, gardening supplies and pet supplies
If you fit in the farm market, apothecary, general store, health food themes, then come talk to us!

We have been busy little bees, filling shelves! Organic wheat berries, brown rice, different pastas and beans, quail meat and eggs are just a few of the new items this week
We are looking forward to planning an open house. It will be a chance to check out the new layout, taste test some goodies and meet some of the local farmers and growers that are coming together to bring you Hot Springs Mercantile!
