Call for Nominations: Mental Health Paladin Award 2026
Do you know someone who has been a true champion for mental health in Georgia? Someone whose leadership, courage, and commitment to recovery have helped move our systems — and our communities — forward?
In 2022, during Mental Health Day at the Capitol, the Behavioral Health Services Coalition proudly presented the inaugural Mental Health Paladin Award to Andy Miller. In 2026, we will once again honor an extraordinary leader when the award is presented in person at Mental Health Day at the Capitol on February 18, 2026.
The title Paladin — meaning hero or leading champion for a cause — was originally suggested by former Coalition Chair, the late Sherry Jenkins Tucker, and later endorsed by the Coalition. A Paladin represents courage, integrity, and unwavering advocacy for what is right.
🛡️ Award Criteria
Nominees must:
1. Demonstrate sustained leadership in mental health advocacy across Georgia.
2. Consistently support recovery and recovery-focused services.
3. Be bold, courageous, and unflinching in confronting stigma.
📅 Nomination Deadline: January 16, 2026
