Danielle Moore went to the Georgia State Capitol this week to celebrate Georgia's Executive Functioning Day with SLPs, School Administration, Teachers and Students from around Georgia. What a great day to celebrate All Kinds of Brains and Neurodiversity in our state. There she was able to connect with Representative from around the state to talk about the diversity of learning styles and students in classrooms.

Continuing our celebrations of Women's History Month today by highlighting Team Member, Mrs. Jennifer Ivers CCC SLP

"My path into speech-language pathology began in my grandmother’s special needs classroom in the 1980s, where I spent many of my younger years watching her work with students. Her passion for helping children inspired my own interest in supporting students with special needs. I originally studied deaf education before eventually transitioning into speech-language pathology, where I have been working for the past 26 years. A fun fact about me is that I’m an Atlanta native, and my daughter and I share the same birthday and were even born in the same hospital!"

Celebrating Mrs. Jarrett Jackson's continued contributions to The Language Group during this Women's History Month!

Dr Gunn Phipps and Danielle Moore spoke at the GANCC monthly business meeting in February- wonderful to meet new faces and connect with old friends. GANCC is doing such amazing work in the Metro area!

Celebrating Women's History Month by spotlighting Mrs. Patrice Phelps. Patrice chose the field of exceptional education because she struggled to learn to read as a child, and she felt that she could use this personal experience to encourage and teach other children to overcome speech, language, and literacy challenges. When she retired from teaching in 2019, she knew that she wanted to work for Danielle Moore at The Language Group because Danielle had been Patrice’s child's extraordinary learning specialist and advocate in middle school and high school years.

Celebrating March Birthdays and Women's History Month- starting off with Mrs. Iyana! She chose to become a Speech-Language Pathologist because she truly enjoys helping others and believes that everyone deserves a voice and the tools to communicate effectively. Communication is such a vital part of connection, confidence, and daily life, and she loves supporting individuals as they grow in their abilities. A fun fact about Mrs. Iyana is that she was a student-athlete at the University of Virginia. Happy Birthday to you and thank you for being part of our team!
