Join colleagues from across the state for the 1st Annual Georgia Chiropractic Gathering at Life University, a landmark day devoted to the philosophy and business of chiropractic in Georgia.

Hosted by Life University and co-sponsored by the Georgia Chiropractic Association and the Georgia Council of Chiropractic, this unique event brings together two leading state associations in a spirit of collaboration, mutual respect, and shared purpose.

This one-day summit will feature powerful keynote addresses, a focus on principled chiropractic philosophy, and practical discussions on building and sustaining successful chiropractic practices in today’s evolving healthcare and business landscape. Brief presentations from each association will highlight their respective missions, initiatives, and resources, while creating an environment where every Georgia chiropractor feels welcome, valued, and part of a larger professional family.

Together, participants will help shape a new chapter for chiropractic in Georgia—one rooted in connection, open dialogue, and a shared commitment to advance the profession for the benefit of patients and communities across the state.

GCA 2026 Summer Conference Speaker Spotlight: Lisa Maciejewski-West, CMC, CMOM, CMIS, CPCO-I

Lisa will be joining us on Saturday, June 6 teaching, "Medicare for Chiropractors." We thank Lisa and Star Medical Business Services for bringing this incredibly helpful course to our attendees this summer!

Lisa has been involved in Chiropractic billing, management and consulting since 1982. Starting out as a Front Desk CA, Lisa moved through the ranks to become a CA Biller, Chiropractic Technician, and a Chiropractic Office Manager. In 1999, Lisa started working for Kats Management (now called Integrity Management) as a full-time Practice Coach and Speaker. Over her 10-year tenure with Kats Management, she coached over 190 providers and their staff to success, and taught CA, Billing and Office Management Courses at Kats/Integrity Conferences an average of 20 times per year.

In 2006, Lisa founded Gold Star Medical Business Services to provide a part-time job for her then disabled husband. Upon his death in 2009, Lisa took over running Gold Star full time. The company currently serves over 150 practices, providing outsource billing, compliance, credentialing, and practice management consulting services for chiropractors and medical offices nationwide.

In 2023, Lisa joined with Chiro Congress to launch a National Insurance Help Desk, providing advice and guidance in Chiropractic Coding, Billing, Compliance and Credentialing to Members of State Chiropractic Associations all over the US. As of 2025, 21 State Associations are using the Help Desk as a unique Value-Added Benefit for their members.

March 2026 Legislative Update from Thrash-Haliburton

We successfully worked with Rep. Karen Mathiak last Thursday to strip the language out of HB 323 in the Senate Insurance Committee and replace it with the language from HB 170! That bill and language from HB 323 is now in the Senate Rules Committee. We will be trying to get it out of Senate Rules for a vote before April 2.

HB 170 was introduced by Rep. Karen Mathiak in the 2025 legislative session. Two weeks ago, it passed the House Insurance Committee didn’t make it out of the House Rules Committee! It provides for transparency in medical billing for chiropractors, physicians, patients, and all stakeholders on procedures and billing. It did not make it out of the House Rules Committee by Crossover Day this past Friday, so we successfully put it on HB 323 and passed it out of the Senate Insurance Committee.

GCA 2026 Summer Conference Speaker Spotlight: Kirk Gair, D.C., I.D. E.

Dr. Gair will be joining us on Friday, June 5, teaching, “From Pain Relief to Peak Performance- How Pairing Lasers + Chiropractic Accelerates Recovery, Performance, and Brain Support.” GCA is grateful to Erchonia Corporation for their support in bringing Dr. Gair to our conference!

Dr. Kirk Gair has been in private practice since 1999 and began using Erchonia cold lasers in 2004. During that time, he has worked with athletes of all levels, including Super Bowl champions, MLB champions, high school wrestling national and state champions, college and high school football, baseball, and track champions and record holders, and with the Dodgers/Angels Fantasy Camp. Due to the results he gets with his laser protocols, he has a waitlist, 100% referral practice.

In addition to treating top-level athletes, he has also completed additional training in functional medicine and functional neurology under the guidance of internationally acclaimed Dr. Datis Kharrazian, and has patients come from all over the US for help.
