We'll be meeting with legislators to build support for Representative Karen Mathiak’s Insurance Transparency Bill to protect Georgia patients and improve access to timely care. We'll also be hearing from our lobbying team, Thrash-Haliburton, about the overall session and what we can do to continue to promote and protect chiropractic at the state level. Full itinerary TBA.

Remember to bring a government-issued ID (such as a driver's license) to enter the Capitol building.

GCA recommends attendees plan to park at the Pete Hackney Deck located at the corner of Jesse Hill Jr. Drive and Decatur Street. Parking is $10 for 2 hours. The garage has a maximum height of 8'2".

We have received several questions about setting up your CE Broker accounts, and want to share some quick tips to help guide you through the process. The Georgia Board of Chiropractic Examiners has provided you with a free Basic Account, but upgraded accounts are also available. See the attached screenshots for highlighted step-by-step instructions on how to start your free Basic Account.

Please see below for more details on how to open an account and what will be required going forward.

Am I required to submit proof of CE when I renew my license?

You do not need to submit proof of completion directly to the Board unless you are selected for a CE audit. However, you should submit proof of completion to CE Broker, the official CE tracking system of the Board. The Board has provided you with a free Basic Account, so you’ll have their helpful CE tracking tools right at your fingertips. You will never have to pay for the free, Basic Account. However, licensees do have the option to subscribe to an upgraded account, which offers additional CE tracking tools. Within the free Basic Account, you will have access to your Course History and CE Compliance Status. This lists all the courses which have been reported thus far and indicates whether you have satisfied your renewal requirements. From here, you may easily find and report any CE that might be missing.

CE Broker's support center is based in Jacksonville, FL and staffed with experts who have been thoroughly trained on the rules & regulations for the Board. Open 8AM- 8PM ET, Monday through Friday, you can reach them by phone at 877-434-6323, or via email and live chat. For additional information and helpful guides, please visit: https://help.cebroker.com/. Once you have created your CE Broker account and logged into the system, click "Report CE" and locate the option that is most applicable to what you are recording. You will need to answer a few questions and then attach the documentation that the Board requires. If you are using the mobile application on your phone to submit your documentation into the system, you may take a picture of your documentation and upload it via your phone. You will not receive credit for the courses you list or record if you do not load the supporting documents which represent your participation and completion of the course.

To avoid any delays or potential disciplinary action based on noncompliance with the CE requirements, do not wait until the last minute to register for your account and/or become familiar with the continuing education requirements outlined in Board Rule 100-5-.02. If you have any questions about your account with CE Broker, call the CE Broker Support Center M-F 8am - 8pm Eastern Time at 1-877-434-6323. You may also visit https://www.cebroker.com to engage in an online chat with a representative and learn more about the registration process.

GCA Winter Conference Presenter Spotlight: Dr. Morgan Mullican, DC, DACBN, CCN., DCBCN

Dr. Mullican will be joining us on Saturday, December 6, teaching “Dietary Fiber & Cognitive Decline.” Thank you to Invisa-Red Technology for partnering with GCA to bring Dr. Mullican to our conference!

Dr. Mullican comes to us with a great deal of clinical and consulting experience. He is a 1988 honors graduate from Palmer College of Chiropractic. Before starting his practice in Dallas, Texas in 1989, he taught in the radiology department at Palmer College. He received his Diplomate in clinical nutrition in 1993, he completed his C.C.N Certified Clinical Nutritionist in 1996, and completed his Diplomate from the Chiropractic Board of Clinical Nutrition in 2013.

He had one of the largest nutrition practices in Dallas for over 20 years. In 2022, he opened three Laser Weight Loss locations utilizing the invisa-RED laser in Oklahoma, Mississippi, and Georgia, and runs them remotely today. He is one of the most sought-after speakers at chiropractic colleges and chiropractic state association meetings. He and his wife Dawn have 5 grown children and reside in Gainesville, Georgia.

GCA Winter Conference Presenter Spotlight: Kyl Smith, DC

Dr. Kyl Smith will be joining us on Friday, December 5, teaching “Hidden In Plain Sight: Three key health factors that can restore musculoskeletal health, decrease chronic pain, and improve virtually all patient outcomes.”

Dr. Smith ---or, "Dr. Kyl," as his colleagues call him---is a pioneer in the world of natural medicine. He is a multi-patented inventor, published researcher, lecturer, author, and scientist. Professionally, Dr. Kyl received his DC in 1993 and has since engaged in ongoing nutrition and natural medicine research. Dr. Kyl is a proud recipient of the Dr. James W. Parker Award and has served as a Member of the Presidential Advisory Council at Parker University.
