Today is World Autism Awareness Day 💫
We thought long and hard about what this day means to us as a clinic that works with autistic children. What we came up with is the world absolutely needs to be aware of how wonderful, amazing and brilliant autistic people are. The best way for us to demonstrate this is by showing picture 1 of how some may perceive the mind of an autistic individual to be. (they are very wrong!). Picture 2 really demonstrates the art, vision, and magnificence of the mind of an autistic child! This is what we have learned over the years of working with autistic children on a daily basis! We hope you too have the honor of befriending and being a part of autistic people because your life will only be that much brighter ✨ ✨ ✨

April is Autism Awareness Month…
and it’s only a few days away.

For some families,
this isn’t just a “month.”

It’s everyday life.

It’s routines that have to be followed.
Meltdowns people don’t understand.
Small wins that mean everything.

It’s patience.
It’s advocacy.
It’s showing up, every single day.

Some days are beautiful.
Some days are hard.

But behind it all
are parents doing everything they can
to support a child the world doesn’t always understand.

So no…
this month isn’t just about awareness.

It’s about being more patient.
More kind.
More understanding.

Because every child deserves to be accepted,
not changed.

Our lovely team members will bee 🐝 wearing green tomorrow March 25th in support of our friends with a Cerebral Palsy diagnosis 💚
Here is some quick facts
1. CP is not an intellectual disability, it is purely a physical condition
2. Several of our team members including Sherill and Marcella started their careers working with children with cerebral palsy! They both agree it was a gratifying and amazing experience
3. While there is no cure for CP currently, Busy Bees is a supporter of research for future remedies

Bottom line, the CP children are we have worked with always pushed harder, showed up, and put in the work to bee 🐝 their best! 💪🏽 Please show some love for our CP friends and wear green tomorrow!

Joel was found! 🙌 ❤️ so happy for the family and that he is safe!

***Public Assistance Needed - Missing Juvenile***

Update 2252 hours, 03/20/26; Joel is still missing, after a continuing, exhaustive search utilizing multiple EHT & neighboring jurisdiction Officers, Detectives, EMS Personnel, County Sheriffs, ACPO Detectives (Drones), State OEM, Atlantic County OEM, Search and Rescue Teams from Atlantic, Gloucester, Camden and Cumberland Counties with Cape May on Standby, K9's, Bloodhounds, State Police and Coast Guard Helicopters. We are asking all residents living in the area to please check the surroundings around their house, starting tomorrow morning. Please call the Police Department at (609)926-4025 to report anything credible. Check your ring cameras, anything and everything. We will update immediately, once he located. Thank you to all our amazing partners that assisted in this search that will continue until he is located. Thank you to our great community for all of your help as well as keeping Joel and his family in your prayers.

Joel Medina ran away from his home in the area of 4th Avenue behind the Shore Mall off of West Jersey. He is believed to be in the Egg Harbor Township area, in the area of the Shore Mall.

Joel Medina is autistic and stands 5'6" and weighs approximately 156 lbs. He has dark eyes, black hair, and has a medium skin tone. He was wearing black/white/red jordan sneakers(possible update from sandals), black shorts and a black t-shirt.
