Bee 🐝 ing ultra cool in the hive and jumping on the older self and younger version self posing together on social media !

Pictured is Marcella of 2026 and Marcella of 1986 with her younger brother Joey. Joey was born premature with under developed lungs and stayed for a whole year getting care. When he returned home 🏠 he required weekly nursing visits, respiratory therapy, speech/language therapy, occupational and physical therapy. Marcella was raised in a home where therapy was life. The seed for Busy Bees 🐝 was born from knowing the needs of children & families! Here we are all these years later and getting to make sure children like her brother Joey get the care they need & deserve!

P.S. Joey is doing well! He loves Pokemon and video games like many of our busy bees kiddos!

Still working on getting into sitting? This progression may help. 🚗👨🏻‍🦰

In this video ( #18), I work with Cillian, age 2 years, 3 months, who has SMA type 1. In our last session, we worked on getting into sitting over my leg. This time, we progress the activity using a wedge to encourage more active pushing, trunk strength, and head turning to the left.

Small environmental changes — like tilting a cushion or slightly elevating a toy — can make transitions more achievable while still building strength and postural control. 🧠💪🏼👶🏻👶🏽👶🏾
