✨Samhain - when endings become a threshold ✨

Tonight we cross into Samhain (pronounced SAH-win), the old Gaelic festival that closes the harvest and opens the dark half of the year. More than the root of Halloween, it is a time of passage, when the veil thins and life invites us to listen to what cannot be seen. Our ancestors knew the dark is not absence but womb: what has finished becomes humus for what will be. So Samhain is gratitude and grief, memory and omen at once, a pact with the cycle that changes form but never wastes its gifts.
Looking back, we name the fruits and also the husks that no longer feed us. Looking within, we learn that courage is quiet, a steady thread that guides us through the corridor of the unknown.

Samhain reminds us that ending is sacred work: returning what is complete to the ground, honoring the names that carried us here, and gathering the small flame that will see us through the winter; subtle, constant, true.
If something asks for goodbye, let it go with reverence.
If something asks for voice, name it in the dark.

The wisdom of Samhain is this: choose what you carry, accept what falls, and trust the unseen to work while the world slows. Real protection is born from this covenant with night - walking with the shadow, not against it; allowing stillness to reorganize us; listening to those who came before and answering with presence.
