Hey everyone!
Lately, I’ve been reflecting on how often fear of failure holds us back—from reaching out to a neighbor, starting a new project, changing careers, or simply trying something new.
There’s a simple truth I keep coming back to:
👉 You can either try and fail, or fail to try.
When we try and fail, yes—it can be disappointing. But it also means we took a step. We learned something. We grew. Failure in this form isn’t the end; it’s a sign of progress. It shows that we were brave enough to act.
But when we fail to try at all? That’s when we risk something deeper: stagnation, missed opportunities, and lingering regret. We stay in our comfort zones, telling ourselves “maybe later,” while time quietly moves on.
Growth—personal, professional, and even as a community—requires effort, risk, and the willingness to embrace imperfection.
So here’s a gentle nudge to anyone who’s been hesitating:
Want to start a garden but worried it won’t thrive? Try anyway.
Been thinking of introducing yourself to a neighbor? Knock on that door.
Considering a class, a new job, or a big move? Explore it.
Have an idea to improve our neighborhood? Share it!
We don’t have to get it perfect. We just have to get it going.
Whatever’s been sitting on your heart—try. Because even if you stumble, you’re still moving forward. And that’s always better than standing still.
Let’s encourage each other to be bold enough to try.
Have a great day!!!
