Step 1: Get seeds from the wonderful

Step 2: Completely forget what you planted

Step 3: Be totally surprised by a new red and yellow flower in your yard and have to look it up 😅

(bonus other flowers I already knew because they were pretty too)

Another passage from Ray Naylor's novel The Mountain in the Sea!

It is interesting to think about the real foundation of our sensory relationship to the world. But something like pain, albeit created from within our bodies and minds, can certainly be considered no less real than the outer, physical world. We perceive not only with our senses but also our mind, into time, and in that time sense thus into higher dimensions than the three-dimensional world of our senses. Ideas, dreams, our sense of the past and future--and tied to that last, at unfortunate times, our pain--all exist within a realm outside of the singular "now" present-moment of our senses.

A large portion of what I do is helping to relieve pain, both in the present, preventing it in the future, and coming to terms with pain of the past. I'm happy to talk more about any of the above--call or text at 520-609-8488, or schedule online at the link in my bio.

Excited and proud to be on the directory for the Tucson Occult Community! Tucson is lucky to have a wonderful variety of stores, practitioners, and resources for studying and learning spirituality, finding aid with healing, and connecting with others with similar minds. I'm not always overt with my practices in regards to more occult topics, but with patients who resonate with that side of me, it always inevitably comes out into the open! My daily practices very much do enhance and inform the way I aid in healing, and my life has been so much better since I began them.

I love that I can really apply my practice to my work and life! Call or text 520-609-8488 if you'd like to learn more, or schedule online at the link in my bio.

Helping people do longer treks and backpacking has actually become a bit of a theme for me in the past year, and I'm here for it. Getting out in nature is fantastic for one's health, especially with what we're inundated with in the news these days.

If you've got something causing discomfort when you're out and about, from sprained ankles to knee pain to allergies, call or text me at 520-609-8488. Or schedule online at the link in my bio!

I was indeed an English major, though I also love my job helping people feel better with acupuncture, ha!

Also, I just learned that nasturtium comes from the Latin for "nose" and "twister," i.e. its peppery flavor will make you twist your nose if you add it to your salad 😅

While it's even odds that I might have tarot cards or a book on qabalah on my desk at work, I don't usually think of my practice of medicine as wizardry! But I'm glad to hear it when someone (like this patient with their happy announcement) has found relief from pain or discomfort and is enthusiastic to keep working together on their health issues, nonetheless.

I'd love to talk acupuncture (or magic!)--call or text 520-609-8488, or schedule online at the link in my bio!

"The massage therapist was pinching the upper part of my shoulder near my neck pretty hard, and while he did it I instantly got the exact feeling of a migraine on that side of my head...what was that about?"

This was one of those things that is very hard for me to come up with an allopathic explanation for, but for which I see an answer in Eastern medicine pretty instantly. In this case, the channel most commonly used to treat migraines, the Shao Yang or Lesser Yang channel, travels over the side of the head in a wide swathe, down the side of the neck and into the upper trapezius...obstruct that channel (say, by overworking the surrounding tissue), and channel flow might back up into the side of the head--and where there is excess like that, there is likely to be pain.

Just a bit of trivia for how I think in doing channel-focused acupuncture. If you're curious to learn more, call or text 520-609-8488, or schedule an appointment at the link in my bio!
