Clínica Amistad is a project of Amistad y Salud meaning “Friendship and Health”. Clínica Amistad is a free health clinic that opened in March of 2003 serving Tucson’s low-income uninsured community. The clinic is a project of Amistad y Salud, a non-profit 501(c)3 organization.
We help people who :
Are unemployed, uninsured, low income, supporting families below the poverty level, and have chronic medical conditions such as diabetes or high blood pressure.
Would not be able to see a doctor without the clinic.
May not have had any medical evaluation for their chronic condition for years.
Cannot afford to purchase medications.
Are not able to get services through AHCCCS.
In-clinic services include:
Medical evaluation and treatment by a Medical Doctor, Physician Assistant, or a Nurse Practitioner
Consultations for endocrinology/diabetes, pulmonology, cardiology, and dermatology
Massage therapy and other bodywork modalities, such as Zero Balancing and Bowenwork
Acupuncture
Energy therapy, such as Reiki and other modalities
Health education about diet and exercise provided by health coach or nutrition educator
Social services support provided by a social worker (LMSW) and others
