Today, I am wearing blue in honor of World Diabetes Day, a cause that is very close to my heart. My son, Brody, was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at TMC for Children when he was just four years old. His journey has been my constant motivation to improve healthcare for all those living with chronic conditions in the communities we serve.

Diabetes is a challenging condition that affects millions of people worldwide. It requires continuous management and support, and I am committed to ensuring that TMC provides the best care and resources for our patients and their families. Our goal is to make a positive impact on their lives by offering comprehensive care, innovative treatments, and unwavering support.

On this World Diabetes Day, I honor all those on our team who work tirelessly to care for those living with diabetes. At TMC Health, we have specialized physicians, pharmacists, nurses, dieticians and educators dedicated to supporting our diabetic patients.

Thank you for joining me today to raise awareness, support those affected by diabetes, and work towards a future where everyone can live healthier, happier lives.

Chronic wounds on the foot and leg often occur in approximately 15 percent of patients with diabetes and are commonly located on the bottom of the foot. Without proper care and treatment the wound can become more infected and painful resulting in loss of toes, feet and in worse cases lower legs.
