Compassion can offer a blanket of love and support during someone's last moments. TMC Hospice volunteer, Colette Landeen, believed in the power of compassion when providing support to patients and families at Peppi's House.

"Colette Landeen's influence extends far beyond those she personally touched - her vision and kindness have helped shape a lasting framework of care and support, ensuring dignity and comfort for patients and families for years to come."

Forming thoughtful relationships with homebound patients, developing TMC Hospice's By Your Side vigil program and spending hours by patients' sides, Landeen dedicated over 10 years to TMC Hospice, leaving a lasting impact on those she served. TMC Health is proud to honor Landeen for her kindness and care during National Hospice and Palliative Care Month.

This holiday season, you can bring comfort to local hospice patients and their families through our Wish Cactus program. Located in the foyer of Peppi's House (2715 N. Wyatt Road), the Wish Cactus allows community members to select a wish tag and provide meaningful gifts or essential items to families facing challenging times.

How You Can Help:
-Visit Peppi's House to choose a wish tag
-Purchase a new, unwrapped gift or item matching the tag
-Return the gift to Peppi's House by December 18, 2024

Can't Visit in Person?
We understand not everyone can make it to Peppi's House. We welcome donations of essential items that support our patients and families throughout the year. These gifts provide practical support and show families they are not alone during difficult moments.

Gift Card Donations:
Your gift card donations can provide critical relief to hospice families during the holidays and throughout the year. By helping cover essential expenses like groceries and fuel, you can help lighten the emotional and financial burden of caring for a loved one during a difficult journey.

We thank the team at TMC Hospice at Home & Peppi’s House during National Hospice and Palliative Care Month. It takes a special person to provide compassionate, end-of-life care.
Two of those people are Rebecca and Jill, a mother-daughter team of hospice nurses. Jill wheeled the first patient into Peppi’s House in 2007 and spent her retirement as a hospice volunteer until the age of 74. Jill later spent the last days of her life at Peppi’s House.
“Inspired by her, I have been a nurse for 17 years, with seven of those at Peppi’s House,” Rebecca says. “My first 10 years were spent in neurology and pediatrics, but once I arrived at Peppi’s, I felt like I was home. I had found my true calling.”
Thank you to the staff and volunteers who helped make this the longest running hospice program in the region. And thanks to all the community members who have trusted us with the care of their loved ones by choosing TMC’s in-home hospice care or inpatient care at Peppi’s House.

Here is our incredible Veterans Program Volunteer, Barb, and her team, who led a heartfelt program for Veterans at Broadway Proper yesterday. Veterans were recognized, branch of service songs were sung, yellow roses were given to Gold Star families and the veterans' spouses received a red rose from our veteran's program with a special thank you note attached that read "You may not have worn a uniform, but we know you served too!"

Thank you, Barb and the Hearts of Gold team, for doing such a great job!

We celebrated becoming a Green Valley Chamber Member, with a Chamber Ribbon Cutting on Monday, July 8th. We are so grateful to be able to expand our services to this area.

Dr. Karen Chandler, Medical Director for TMC Hospice at Home and Peppi's House, was interviewed today for The Morning Blend on KGUN 9. Dr. Chandler talked about the comfort and care hospice provides to patients at the end of their life, as well as the peace of mind provided for their families. With the expansion of in-home hospice into Green Valley and surrounding areas, TMC Hospice will be able to provide services to all of Southern Arizona.
