📖 Psalm 16:11 You will make known to me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forever.
In your presence is fullness of joy. Have you ever found yourself seeking joy in everything and still come up empty? I know I have, especially during the holidays. We look for that one special gift that is eventually discarded or overused only to be replaced. Yes, gifts are a beautiful way to say I was thinking of you, or I love you. But why doesn't it stay? Just as David expresses in this verse, He is our life, He is our Joy, and in Him, there are pleasures forever. Not as this world gives or displays. “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. (Matthew 6:19) During this holiday season, may we fill up our homes with the joy of Jesus. May our hearts overflow with the pleasures of His goodness and love.
🙏 Prayer - Praise you Jesus. We love you Lord. We come to you with open hearts, ready to receive all that you have for us. Remind us of the true joy that welcomes us every morning. We thank you, Father God, for showing us a new life in You. Be with our loved ones this holiday season. May they know and experience your love. In Jesus' name, amen.
