We’re excited to welcome Luke Ryan (he/they) to the team at Desert Lotus Counseling!

Luke is a Licensed Professional Counselor who supports adults navigating trauma, anxiety, and identity exploration. They especially enjoy working with LGBTQIA+ adults in both individual and couples therapy, and bring a trauma-informed, affirming approach to every session.

Luke is in-network with United Healthcare and Aetna insurance. He has openings available, including evenings and weekends.

We’re excited to welcome Sadie Bender Shorr (they/them) to the team at Desert Lotus Counseling as our new Social Work Intern!

Sadie is currently completing their second-year practicum in the MSW program at Arizona State University and has experience in healthcare, residential, and school-based settings.

They center their work around a person-centered, anti-oppressive approach—believing that you are the storyteller of your own life, while together you explore how internal parts and external systems shape your experience. Sadie loves working with folks navigating transitions, identity, sexuality, eating or body-image issues, and the many ways burnout and shame can show up in everyday life.

• Sadie is now accepting new clients.
• In-person and telehealth sessions available.
• Sessions are offered at a discounted rate of $40 per session (self-pay).
• They will be part of the Desert Lotus team through May 2026.
