Forest of Treasures is the name of the piece I offered to the project💖

Here is its story :

There is a temple in Vrindavan in Uttar Pradesh, India called Nidhivan which in English translates to Forest of Treasures. Nidhivan Temple is in a forest of sacred Tulsi trees. There is a legend that at night, the Tulsi trees turn into Gopis who are the lovers of Krishna, and they dance with Krishna the celestial Ras Leela - a dance of divine love and eternal devotion. It is said that nobody may gaze upon this sacred dance or they will lose their vision or might even go mad. To make sure this rule is followed, the gates to the forest and temple are locked at sunset.

I wanted to visit this special temple when in Vrindavan and I was not alone. Many pilgrims travel to this site. I found myself in a wide and extremely long, shoulder to shoulder line of jubilant devotees. The excitement was palpable and the sounds of their joyful conversations, prayers and songs filled the air. I had to capture this feeling somehow ! I decided to record while slowly moving through the Tulsi with the crowd.

In creating this piece, Forest of Treasures, I wanted to honor these Nidhivan recordings and, through the use of additional sonic elements, express how it felt to be there. I used various acoustic (including flute and gong) and electronic instruments (synths and samplers) as well as layers of vocals to create an audio memory of this precious moment in time .

Wow, THAT was incredible!!!! Here I am blissed out with lilacs after a full weekend of joyful community, deep learning and celebration (and yummy food!) 💛✨ I had the honor of providing healing sessions (acupuncture, sound, reiki), sacred sound and mantra🎶 for the Yoga Connection retreat at St David’s Monastery. To be in such beautiful company and to share, practice and relax together amidst the blooming flowers, snowing cottonwood trees and peacocks was such a treat🙏 Congrats to the 300 hour graduates and a huge thank you Priscilla Potter💕, the Yoga Connection staff and to everyone who attended for co creating this special experience that I will carry with me always!!🌈 Om Shanti Shanti Shanti

It was an honor to provide live meditative soundscapes for the Integrative Touch for Kids healing circle event that was held at the Children’s Clinic at TMC yesterday🙏. Here is a photo of my set up: didgeridoos, flutes, frame drums, kalimbas, lyre, tuning forks, voice, crystal bowls, looper, speakers and mats for people to lay on. A super fun mixture of tools!!🌈🎶Other therapists were set up with their tables and tools throughout the room. We offered to mothers, fathers and children all day. It was such a beautiful experience to provide music in this way, to feel the co created atmosphere from all of the healing sessions and to respond with sound accordingly!!💛✨✨
I made a lot of new friends too! This one is named Dolly😍

It was an honor to share and interact with the sounds of the didgeridoo, drum, singing bowls, flute, voice, lyre and kalimba at Camila’s ninth birthday this past weekend!! I am still feeling the bliss of journeying together with such a powerful group of loving open hearts 💕 🙏✨
