📚✨ Celebrating Resident Author Janet McCormick! ✨📚
Resident Janet McCormick discovered her passion for writing just five years ago — and this month, she proudly released her newest children’s book, Robbie Roadrunner’s New Friends, now available on Amazon! In this sweet and interactive story, Robbie Roadrunner worries that no one at school will want to play with him. Through engaging prompts, wiggle breaks, and fun facial expressions, kids ages 3–5 learn valuable lessons about making friends, being kind, showing respect, and sharing. “I write interactive books to encourage kids to participate,” Janet shared. And it shows! Her friends, neighbors, and the associates at The Fountains at La Cholla are some of her biggest fans. We recently hosted a special launch party, where Janet gave a slide presentation and signed copies of her book. 💛📖 Congratulations, Janet! We’re so proud of you and can’t wait for more Robbie Roadrunner adventures!

Have you been to one of our weekly Social Hours? If not, you’re missing out — because we know how to get down, boogie, mingle, and make some serious memories! Once a month, we turn one of our Social Hours into a big birthday bash to celebrate all the residents with birthdays that month. And of course, the party wouldn’t be complete without our crowd-favorite entertainer, Chuck Moses, bringing the music, energy, and smiles.🎶 There’s laughter, dancing, sweet treats, and plenty of reasons to celebrate. 💃🕺Come join the fun… we’ll save you a dance!

There’s nothing we look forward to more each month than gathering with our Veterans for a warm, welcoming morning together. ❤️Today’s breakfast was filled with the best things in life—great friends, hot coffee, and delicious stacks of pancakes, bacon, and fresh fruit. Each month, we’re reminded how special this time truly is. Our Veterans share stories, laughter, and moments that bring everyone closer. Our residents recently enjoyed a wonderful guided tour of the Tucson Jewish Community Center’s Sculpture Garden and their current art gallery exhibit. The day was filled with creativity, inspiration, and great conversation as we explored the unique pieces on display. One of the most exciting moments of the outing was discovering that one of our very own residents had her artwork featured in the gallery! Everyone was so proud to see her talent showcased in such a beautiful space — a truly special surprise that made the visit even more memorable. We are grateful to the Tucson JCC and to Chloe for hosting us and giving our a special tour. ❤️🎨

On November 11th, our Lobby was filled with proud Veterans, families, and friends as we gathered to honor the brave men and women who served our country. It was a truly touching and memorable Veterans Day program. We were honored to welcome our keynote speaker, Tom Neuman, an Army Veteran, Black Hawk pilot, and commercial pilot, who shared heartfelt words of service, sacrifice, and gratitude. The ceremony also featured a moving performance of Echo Taps by two talented buglers, a tribute that brought deep reflection and remembrance to all in attendance. We were grateful to have the Flowing Junior ROTC with us as well. Their professional and dignified Presentation of Colors added a meaningful and patriotic touch to the ceremony. To all of our Veterans—thank you for your courage, your sacrifice, and your service. We are honored to celebrate you today and always.

Last Saturday, The Fountains at La Cholla and Watermark proudly showed up at Reid Park in Tucson to support the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. The day and the weather couldn’t have been more perfect for such an important event!💜 Thanks to the incredible community effort, over $350,000 has been raised so far in 2025 to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association — leading the way to end Alzheimer’s and all other dementias by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support. We’re grateful to be part of such an inspiring cause. 💜
