STARTING TODAY: 12- to 15-year-olds in Pima County can start receiving the COVID-19 vaccine from Pfizer!

The Moderna and Johnson and Johnson vaccines are only approved for those 18 and older.

Pfizer is available at the University of Arizona location, run by the Arizona Department of Health Services, as well as at Tucson Medical Center’s vaccination site at Morris K. Udall Park, and selected pharmacies. A parent/guardian must be present to consent for their minor child to get a vaccine.

The UA location is open until 5 p.m. daily and accepts walk-ups, although registration ahead of time is encouraged at https://www.azdhs.gov/covid19/vaccines/index.php . To find a pharmacy near you offering the Pfizer vaccine, visit VaccineFinder.org.

TMC's Udall Park location is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays. Appointments are encouraged and can be made at vaccine.tmcaz.com.

Additionally, the Health Department is piloting a mobile clinic with Pfizer this Thursday, May 13, at Canyon del Oro High School from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Please do not arrive before 4 p.m. Walk-ups only, no registration.

Pima County expects to make Pfizer available on more dates and locations. Stay updated with the list on pima.gov/covid19vaccine

We will connect with you through a simple video chat website. 👨🏻‍💻👩‍💻

The website works with either your home computer with a video camera or with your smart phone.🤳

⏰You will still schedule an appointment time for your visit but instead of physically coming in to the office, you will check in online at a virtual waiting room for your video visit.💻

☎️Phone visits are also available for those who are camera-shy (although we love to see our patients' smiling faces!)😊
