Today, forget moving Monday:
October has been a very busy month for me personally. Therefore it was a reminder to lean into the grounding, centering, and balancing practices I do daily. Being present is one of these practices. I'm sure you've heard this term but what does it really mean?
For me, being present doesn't mean pushing everything else away, it means showing up and experiencing every moment in the moment fully.
So, if your mind is full with to-do list, overwhelm, and feeling like there's never enough time in the day to get everything done: I invite you to be present in all aspects of life today and notice what kind of an effect this has on you.
You may find more feelings of appreciation for colon that person who let you into a different lane and busy traffic, the kind stranger that held the elevator for you, or how good it feels to kick your shoes off after a long day and just be home.

Today on get moving Monday:
A friendly reminder that what we have control over is our own inner landscape.
This weekend I found myself on a malfunctioning sailboat with someone who didn't know what was wrong or how to fix the problem. My mind raced with uncomfortable thoughts and a sense of panic washed over my entire body as I was uncertain how we were going to get to safety. I remembered this truth out in the open water and began to breathe deeply. This not only quieted my mind and calmed the physical sensation of anxiety in my body, it also allowed me to reach for good feeling thoughts such as asking the universe to guide us safely back to land. This is exactly what happened shortly after I took a few minutes to focus on my breath.
How can you use your breath to guide your consciousness back to the shores of positive thinking.

Today on get moving Monday
On this rainy day in the desert I got to thinking: some people run from the rain while others bask in it. What is it about us that makes us run from discomfort or lean into it? Wim Hoff has a beautiful saying that goes like this; if you do not go to the cold the cold will come to you.
Discomfort teaches us and we must face it to learn whatever lesson it is there to provide. Next time you are feeling discomfort, lean into it and receive the gift in it.

I felt inspired to share a mantra that I live by today.
I get to choose how I feel. This is something I'm constantly reminding myself of because there are many external conditions that threaten personal peace and power.
So next time you wake up on the wrong side of the bed, get some bad news just before entering work, or pull into your driveway feeling stressed and anxious, take a moment to remind yourself that you get to choose how you feel.

Because each of us view the world through our unique lens, it is understandable that demanding another person to see things our way doesn't create unity rather it breathes division. So if you find yourself in a challenging situation in any relationship in your life ask yourself; m i demanding that they see things my way or am I willing to expand my view to connect to this person I care about?
This is not suggesting that you abandon your own beliefs however it invites you to allow others to have beliefs that may differ from yours and love them anyways!

Today on get moving Monday:
I was reminded of this important law of attraction concept yesterday when things just seemed to not be lining up for me.
I was supposed to meet with somebody who didn't show up, I stop by my home and forgot the key, and I was going to pick up my dog food at a local vendor when I was notified that they forgot to put in the order. I caught myself feeling frustrated and remembered, when we decide to clean up our vibration, the universe not only sends us things that match up with our better vibration, it also redirects us when interactions are not for our highest good. Remembering this, I took a deep breath, and quickly shifted into gratitude for all that the universe is guiding me through, to, and away from.
May this be helpful for you to shift out of frustration and into gratitude when you are being guided today and every day.

A friendly reminder that as the moon moves through its faces each month it can affect us in the following ways
Level of physical pain, emotional stability, and sleep patterns
This is particularly true during full moons which we just had one yesterday in conjunction with an eclipse. So if you are feeling a little out of sorts or unstable be sure to lean into your grounding practice and breathe through this charged time.
