With the ongoing uncertainty around SNAP benefits, including delays and reductions, we’re grateful to be able to help our members during these challenging times.

Our Board Member and Past Chair Colette Barajas is honored at the Q***r for Good event on November 6. Colette will receive the Sylvia Mulka Legacy Change-Maker Award, recognizing those whose lifelong commitment has laid the groundwork for today’s LGBTQ+ movement. Due to the government shutdown, the Arizona Department of Economic Security will not be able to provide Nutrition Assistance (SNAP) benefits in November. Our IOP members rely on these benefits to feed themselves and their families.

To make sure no one goes hungry, The Haven has created an Emergency Food Pantry.

You can help women in recovery by donating:
🥫 Nonperishable food items (canned goods, ramen, pasta, rice, peanut butter, etc.)
💵 Monetary donations to help us purchase food

Donations can be dropped off at 1107 E Adelaide Dr, Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm.

A huge thank you to the amazing volunteers from United Ways Days of Caring who helped build a labyrinth for our new Wisdom Garden last Friday!

The Wisdom Garden will be a peaceful outdoor space dedicated to cultural education, reflection, and healing.

We continue advocating for our members and community. When reimbursements are delayed, women lose access to treatment and counseling, and Native and Indigenous women lose culturally grounded care. Our members should not pay the price for fraud committed by others.

The Haven, a Tucson-based recovery center says that a statewide crackdown by AHCCCS on sober living fraud is preventing Native women from getting proper care.
