Thank you to everyone who joined us at our Grand Celebration last Friday! It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces and new friends come together to honor our Champions for Recovery and celebrate our 55th anniversary.

We are deeply grateful to all the organizations and individuals who helped make this anniversary year so meaningful. A heartfelt thank you to our Champions for Recovery for their passion, creativity, and hard work and to everyone who supported them throughout this journey.

Our Champions for Recovery campaign was a tremendous success! Together, our Champions Chris Edwards, Corbin Edwards, Charlinda Haudley, Kasey Hill, Carrie Taliman, and Sharliene Tripp: Allstate Insurance organized 16 events attended by more than 500 community members, created over 80 social media posts, and introduced 173 first-time donors to The Haven. Most impressively, they raised an outstanding $28,070 to support our mission.

We’re thrilled to announce that our Ultimate Champion for Recovery is Charlinda Haudley. Charlinda organized 8 incredible events and personally raised $9,247, all while training for her first marathon!

Congratulations, Charlinda, and heartfelt thanks to all our Champions for your dedication, creativity, and community spirit!

Today, on Transgender Day of Remembrance, we honor the transgender lives lost to violence. At The Haven, we gathered to reflect, learn, and hold space together. We read the biographies and stories of transgender individuals whose lives were taken far too soon, each a whole person with dreams, talents, and people who loved them.

We have a great program planned for tomorrow!

The Haven’s Grand Celebration will feature a historical overview of The Haven by former Executive Director, Dr. Margaret Higgins, drumming performance by Martha and The Haven's alumnae, presentation of the inaugural class of Champions for Recovery, and commencement blessing by The Rev Canon Debbie Royals. Light refreshments will be served.

We hope to see you tomorrow evening from 5-8pm at the Community Foundation!

There’s still time to support our Champions for Recovery! The campaign ends Friday night.

💜 Over the past few weeks, being part of Champions for Recovery campaign has been such a meaningful experience. At Sharliene Tripp Insurance Agency, our work has always been about protecting what matters most — and helping women at The Haven rebuild their lives from drug and alcohol abuse aligns so deeply with that mission.

From craft nights to friendship bracelet making and community events, we’ve been reminded how powerful it is when people come together for a purpose. The Haven’s programs help women heal without being separated from their children, giving families a true chance at a fresh start.

As we approach the final days of this campaign, I want to say thank you to everyone who’s donated, shared, or simply shown support along the way. It’s not too late to make a difference — every dollar helps change a life. 💫
