We’re excited to announce that The Haven’s Virtual Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) will officially begin on March 16!

These virtual groups are designed to provide women with flexible, accessible treatment options while maintaining the same high-quality, trauma-informed care we are known for. Admissions are open now, and we are currently enrolling participants for the March 16 start date.

Our February Employee Spotlight is Heidi Smith! Heidi has done a fantastic job in her first four months at The Haven. We are proud to announce Nati Cano as our 2026 Chrysalis Honoree.

Natividad (Nati) Cano, LISAC, ADS, is a Mexican Indigenous woman who has worked in the substance use treatment field since 1989. She joined The Haven in 2007 and has been the heart and soul of the Native Ways Program ever since.

Nati is active in the community, collaborating with other agencies to promote culturally appropriate, gender-specific and age-specific programs. She enjoys volunteering, cooking, reading, and spending time with her three children, four granddaughters, and her seven siblings and their families.

Please join us celebrating Nati and the 20th anniversary of the Native Ways Program on March 19.

We’re excited to announce the launch of our new outpatient telehealth group, Therapeutic Recovery Maintenance. This group is designed to provide ongoing support for women in recovery and strengthen long-term healing. It will include a mix of process groups and skill-based topics such as relapse prevention, coping skills, emotional regulation, and maintaining long-term recovery.

The group starts this Saturday, and it is led by our fantastic therapist Georgia Benson.

We’re excited to share that The Haven has received more than $660,000 in opioid settlement funds from Pima County. This funding will support transitional wrap-around services for individuals recently discharged from treatment or released from incarceration. With these resources, The Haven will expand care coordination, perinatal and parenting support, life skills education, and housing navigation services.

According to the survey results, “The dedicated leadership and Board of Directors is respected by personnel, and passion for the work being done is evident at all levels of the organization.
