Dear Residents, Family, and Staff,
I would like to start by acknowledging the concerns that surround coronavirus (COVID 19). I understand and recognize how worried everyone is. Here at Famiglia Amore we are working diligently to implement heightened infection control measures in both of our locations. Due to the implementation of these control measures we will be temporarily limiting in house visits to only include medical personnel. Any doctors, hospice, or nurses that visit will have their temperature taken before entering the home, they will also be instructed to wash their hands before and after seeing a resident. Anyone with a temperature greater than 99 degrees will not be allowed into the facility.
We are working diligently with the Department of Health and hope the current control measures will be lifted shortly. Understanding that it is difficult to be unable to see your loved ones. We will be offering appointments for family and friends to video chat with residents. Please contact Steven or Tiger to make an appointment. Also at anytime of the day the house phone can be called to your appropriate home and staff will direct the call to your loved one. If you have supplies that need to be delivered to a home, you can deliver them to the house, call the home phone when you get there, and staff will come outside to collect the supplies.
Our priority is ensuring the health and safety of our residents and staff in our homes. We are reiterating to the staff in our homes the importance of good hand hygiene and universal precautions, reminding residents and staff to cough or sneeze into a tissue or elbow, not to touch their face, and reduce physical hand contact. We have also instructed staff to increase the cleaning of common and high traffic areas multiple times a day with a disinfecting cleaner.

We are glad that we are only having to take preventative measures and we hope that the current control measures will be over shortly and we can resume normal visiting policies.
