SOLSTICE REFLECTIONS 2025

Solstice feels like a threshold—a pause between what has been and what is about to emerge. As this longest night gathers its soft magic, I’ve been tending my own inner temple in preparation for my “new birth.”

Ironically, a room in our home is undergoing a complete transformation, more like a room reimagined. Walls have been stripped, shelves cleared, furniture moved, corners brightened…energy re-threaded.

It feels less like a remodel and more like a ritual of becoming!

In that spirit, I have found myself sifting through drawers of old files and forgotten papers…relics of past selves, past stories, past seasons. I thank them all. With each piece released, something subtle, yet luminous stirs inside me—a lightness, a widening, an invitation.

The Solstice is Nature’s reminder of new life. Though Solstice occurs in tandem with Christmas message of the birth of a messiah, I open to the reverberations of a deeper esoteric reality … I am the one being born.

This year I feel it deeply.

Through the chaos, the uncertainty, the restless rage of a world in transition, I honor what has been…who I was, what I’ve learned. I bless what is leaving. And I welcome the path that is beginning to glow beneath my feet.

My wish, for all sentient beings, is Solstice renewal, clarity and a deeper alignment with the infinite flow of light that lifts us all.

How slowed-down can one get and still get going? Well, the answer arrived last Thursday, when in a flash, a full bottle, mindlessly placed on the counter, slid off and landed bottom first on an unsuspecting toe.

Crack ... OOWW !!

So much to prepare for with one foot in a boot!

Visas, international flight protocols and procedures, packing and now a wheelchair...

Holy MAMA how am I going to do this?

It amazes me how many times I’ve walked into someone’s home or studio and found the Crystal Tones Alchemy Crystal Singing Bowls (or bowl) sitting quietly on a shelf... stunning, pristine... and untouched, almost like museum pieces.

When I ask, “Do you play them often?” the answer is almost always the same.

“Well... I’m afraid I might break them.”

Yikes. What I hear in that is bowl potential silenced, unused. A bowl longing. A bowl quietly whispering, “Please, let me sing you home.”

These crystal beings are sentient, in my personal experience. They are living crystalline consciousness here to assist us in transforming our lives through sound. They move energy, recalibrate the cells, and awaken our capacity to feel life.

“No one puts baby in the corner!” ... (or leaves bowl on the shelf)

YOUR BOWLS ARE WAITING FOR YOU

It amazes me how many times I’ve walked into someone’s home or studio and found the Crystal Tones Alchemy Crystal Singing Bowls (or bowl) sitting quietly on a shelf... stunning, pristine... and untouched, almost like museum pieces.

When I ask, “Do you play them often?” the answer is almost always the same.

“Well... I’m afraid I might break them.”

Yikes. What I hear in that is bowl potential silenced, unused. A bowl longing. A bowl quietly whispering, “Please, let me sing you home.”

These crystal beings are sentient, in my personal experience. They are living crystalline consciousness here to assist us in transforming our lives through sound. They move energy, recalibrate the cells, and awaken our capacity to feel life.

I get it – fear has a way of taking the reins. What if I press too hard? What if I chip the rim? What if it cracks? What if...? That whisper of hesitation is the same voice that shows up in other places in life, too. What if I fail? What if I’m not enough? What if push too hard. What if it all falls apart?

But here’s the reality. These alchemy crystal singing bowls, like us, have a voice, an extraordinary voice. This voice is designed to be heard, activated if you will. And like us, that sound launches the harmonic energy of all thought or word into a lived experience.

Their harmonic voices populate every particle in the space with the potential of all that is.

To not play them, is to silence their unseen potential.

These are vessels of vibration designed to move energy, to be sounded, to be partnered with, to be part of our resonance, our joy, our remembering.

And just maybe, the bowl sitting on your shelf is a mirror. What part of you is waiting to be “played,” waiting to activate your fullness, yet continuing to hesitate. And there you are, tucked away... silenced because of fear? Oh dear!

When you let your bowl sing, you letting yourself sing. The sound isn’t separate from you — it’s moving through you. It reflects you! The resonance is already in your cells, your tissues, your heart. The bowl simply gives voice.

Yes, they are delicate. Yes, they can break (especially if dropped on tile, or a Hulu hoop workout gets too close). So don’t do that! But friends, so can we. And yet, even through our breaking, we can become more radiant, more authentic, more whole. (Remember my beloved Morph bowls?) A bowl that breaks, can find a new voice, just as we do.

Breathe out... let go of any fear. Bring them down from the shelf or out of the cases. Place the wand gently on the rim and let gravity provide the pressure as the tone rises.

Trust your heart. Trust the bowl. Trust yourself.

The bowls are waiting—not to be admired, but to be embodied. They are waiting for you to say, “I’m ready to give voice to the sound that only I can carry.”

And when you do, you’ll discover the truth that has always been there:

Nothing is too fragile to be lived.

MY BEAUTIFUL CATASTROPHE

Some time ago, while on a weekend hiking excursion with friends, I had a close counter with inner wisdom... my own!

Hiking this canyon with its steep, jagged boulders demanded every ounce of focus. As we made our way down the ridge, for one brief moment my attention drifted to the woman hiking in front of me. She had mentioned her weak knee as we started our decent. I remember looking at her leg, thinking, how is she managing this downhill trek over these boulders?

At that very moment my world changed. I slipped on a slick domed rock, sliding several feet. I shrieked, then heard a loud crack as I landed hard on my tailbone.

Oh my God, could my life as an upright mobile person be over?

My heart is so full. I just spent the evening with 6 extraordinary women supported by a team of others who have worked for months planning the entire two weeks in Tucson during the Gem Show. And HOLY WOW, it was launched tonight. Thank goodness they filmed it!!!

This inaugural Crystal Tones Panel of experts will be available for all to see…soon! I think I can safely say, none of us were prepared for the wealth of wisdom, knowledge, grace, beauty and joy we had sharing our personal experiences with the business of sound. Whew knew?

What made it extra special was meeting others who have been touched by the alchemy crystal bowls and learning how they are all finding creative ways to share it within their respective communities.

The magic and the mission are the shared ingredients.

Harmonic In-Sight

2025 - Dynamic, Volatile and Transformative

If you are reading this, you agreed before you were born that being here in 2025, a time of massive change, was to be a pivotal junction in your life plan. It will not disappoint! From those in the know (astrologers and the like) The Age of Darkness is about to end. Radical transitions are coming. The year could feel like a run-away train with no brakeman on board, screeching wheels barely touching the tracks as it careens out of control over, around and within our planet. Change is happening everywhere.

It’s alright, you got this!!!!

Sure, it could be very scary or very promising depending on the choices we make. Prepare yourself. Remain self-contained. Let the world revolt, the old-guard, old systems, old structures are disintegrating. Let it all go. You know you have a been doing your personal work and now is your time to draw from what you have learned!

The collapse must happen for this energy to transform.

I don’t know about you, but I’m in! No really, I’m excited. This period is an opportunity for us humans to experience ourselves functioning at an elevated level of frequency, informed by integrity, humility and heart-centered awareness. I agree, in this atmosphere of massive change, that’s a tall order, but we have it in us. Actually, it’s who we are!

I’m told these changes are speeding things up even more and could make us feel mentally brilliant, somewhat manic or overwhelmed. How we respond will influence what happens next.

Take heart…don’t despair. Seek stillness. Turn inward. B R E A T H E…

Reach out to your nature parent, Mother Earth…maybe hug a tree or pet a petal and tone your appreciation for its beauty. Thank the Sun for shining for you today, and the rain for nourishment. Touch the ground and exhale. Those unstable energies around you will be neutralized. You might even consider opening your mouth and let the sound of your voice soothe your nervous system with soft vowel tones … tones unrecognized by your brain.

We are learning to live from the inside out, no longer outsourcing our understanding of Self.

Each of us will recognize that we are the master of our own frequency. We are the ones consciously choosing our experiences because we know that our thoughts, words and actions impact our reality—and the world. As we reset our frequencies at this time, our manifesting skills will become refined, no longer reliant on belief structures. We are honing our capacity to co-create with Universal energy.

This good stuff is highly personalized, but I sense the shedding, the birthing of a new frequency is revealing a new identity, one based in AUTHENTICITY. We are crossing the threshold where living from our unique essence is not only the greatest gift, it is the imperative. Don’t run from it. It’s why we came to this Earth School in the first place.

Let the songs of this New Earth rise up through you. Give voice to the naked beauty within you. Live the spontaneous joy that so becomes you.

How slowed-down can one get and still get going? Well, the answer arrived last Thursday.

Somewhere between moving the water and starting breakfast, I made a fateful decision to wipe down one tiny shelf inside my refrigerator door (that smudge had been poking at me for weeks).

Finally, I had a moment. I grabbed the new bottle of all purpose cleaner and sprayed/swiped with the sweeping grace of a Bolshoi ballerina.

When in a flash, that full bottle, mindlessly placed on the counter, slid off and landed bottom first on an unsuspecting toe.

Crack….OOWWwwwwwwaaaHHHHHH!

Please don’t let this be a break.

That’s exactly what it was, a broken ring-toe.

Why NOW? I fly to Siem Reap, Cambodia for the Global Crystal Bowl Symposium 3 in a week!

So much to prepare for with one foot in a boot! Visas, international flight protocols and procedures, packing and now a wheelchair. Holy MAMA how am I going to do this?

Insight has many worthy tributaries, still the obvious learning is, well…obvious…Slow down! Pay attention! At times I’m prone to thinking I’m better at some things than I really am.

Maybe I should ask a better question if I want a better answer. What lies beyond attention? Something rearranges in my nervous system. Wait, I see it! Slowing down is no longer an action, it’s an experience which allows me to listen differently.

Hearing an insight come online within me is an (OMG) exhilarating sensory experience. Remarkable really! Coming home to all my senses in order to experience me being me is the point of living this life. Ah, yes!

So here I am drifting along, hobbling humbly with one foot in a boot and paying attention ONLY to what is in front of me.

Preparing for Cambodia demands I change my octave here. Clearly a wheelchair is a new wrinkle in my plans.

That said, I will use this ‘injury’ to refine how I experience Cambodia…with an unreserved heart, softer eyes and lighter touch.

Slow enough to sense the sound of ancient voices echoing within the temple walls of Angkor Wat; to savour the sacred within the roots of Ta Prohm Temple.

The most exciting gift will be feeling this new energy moving through me as I give myself over to this new Life.

My Presentation for the Global Crystal Bowl Symposium 3 Cambodia will be an opportunity to ‘savour the sacred’ in crystal sound.

I have to laugh because the title of my talk “Evolving the Harmonic Body: A New Paradigm of Healing with Alchemy Crystal Singing Bowls” exposes the very thing I am Re-membering due to my current physical situation.

Of course, I’m right on track!

Happy Tuesday!

What I have learned in my 25 years of professional and private practice with clients is that for healing to be sustainable and resilient and beneficial over time and space for an individual is to experience healing not only within oneself but also with our environment and the community we belong to with others.

If our healing is only for ourselves, then it remains disconnected from our core of inter-beingness as Thich Nhat Hanh says, or from all our relations as Indigenous people express. Healing of our being recognizes that we are made for love and connection, that we find meaning in being of service to the larger whole and that joy arises in the present moment when we are in harmony with the circle of life as it flows through us rather than demanding how life must flow.

If we truly want/seek healing, we need to heal as Nature does —in the way of wholeness for all.
