πΊπΈ Honoring Strength, Service, and Perseverance πΊπΈ
We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our Fellowship Square resident, Annie Remsburg, for sharing her sonβs incredible story and helping us connect with him for our Veterans Day celebration last week.
We were truly honored to welcome Sergeant First Class (SFC) Cory Remsburg, U.S. Army Ranger, and his father, Craig, to Fellowship Square Tucson. Their visit left a lasting impression on our entire community, reminding us of the sacrifices made by our service members and the extraordinary strength of the human spirit.
Cory grew up in St. Louis and joined the Army on his 18th birthday, fulfilling his dream of becoming a U.S. Army Ranger with the 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment. Over the course of ten deployments in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom, he embodied courage and dedication to his country.
On October 1, 2009, during his tenth deployment in Afghanistan, Coryβs life changed forever when an IED struck his unit, leaving him critically injured. Against all odds, he survived β and has continued to inspire others through his perseverance, grit, and unshakable spirit.
βDonβt ever tell a Ranger that he canβt do something.β
That determination continues to define Cory as he pushes boundaries, competes in the Valor Games and DoD Warrior Games (earning six medals!), and works every day toward greater independence.
Thank you, Cory and Craig, for sharing your story with us β a powerful reminder of resilience, purpose, and the strength that defines our veterans. β€οΈπ
