It takes a village… and we want you to be a part of ours! This May, we are kickstarting the first-ever Tucson Children’s Miracle Network Council; bringing together staff, community members, and business owners to support pediatric healthcare across southern Arizona.

This group will collaborate on ideas, build community partnerships, secure sponsors, and support events—all to help raise critical funds for the children and families served at TMC for Children.

🌟Meet Gianna🌟TMC for Children patient ambassador

When Gianna’s mom, Frances, noticed her daughter was unusually tired and struggling to breathe, she rushed her to TMC for Children. Flu B turned into pneumonia, then to Necrotizing Pneumonia a rare and severe lung infection. Gianna spent over a month in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, undergoing three surgeries in one week and a blood transfusion.

Frances and Gianna’s grandmother found comfort in the care and kindness of everyone at TMC. Child Life Services made a lasting impact, bringing toys, performances, and even arranging a visit from Gianna’s school principal to lift her spirits.

Today, Gianna is healthy and strong. She loves going to school and playing with her two younger brothers—proof of the healing power of expert care and compassion.

We ❤️ CU4Kids !! Yesterday, we hosted our partner credit unions across Southern Arizona at Tucson Medical Center for an inspiring check presentation.

Collectively, we had 6 credit unions represented and together they raised $76,556.44 in 2025. We are so grateful for our passionate partners at each of these locations and their drive to support pediatric healthcare at TMC for Children and Children’s Miracle Network.

🌟Meet Niko 🌟 TMC for Children patient ambassador!

Niko is a bright and joyful 4-year-old who continues to make incredible strides!

His mom, Elia, noticed early on that Niko wasn’t hitting the same developmental milestones as his older sister and faces challenges similar to cerebral palsy.

Although they have not received a diagnosis - Niko attends speech and physical therapy three times a week, and his progress has been remarkable.

One of his favorite places is the indoor therapy playground built with support from Children’s Miracle Network. “He loves it!” says Elia. “It’s changed his whole childhood.”

For Elia, Niko and their family, TMC for Children has been a source of comfort, guidance, and celebration.
