✍️ In this life, we carry so much. We carry the harm we’ve done—words spoken in anger, actions taken in haste, thoughts that led to suffering for others and ourselves. We carry the wounds others have given us—the betrayals, the misunderstandings, the deliberate cruelties. And perhaps heaviest of all, we carry the damage we’ve inflicted upon ourselves.
All of this weight, accumulated over years, keeps us from peace. It creates enemies where there could be friends. It builds walls where there could be connection.
But there is a way to set it down.
🙏 Place your left hand on your heart. Your right hand on top. Close your eyes and breathe deeply.
Now imagine yourself standing before you. Inside this body is an angel and this angel is crying. Asking for something you alone can give: Forgiveness.
✨ For all the ways you’ve caused harm through your actions, your words, your thoughts—acknowledge them. Not with shame, but with honesty. Open your kind heart and say:
I honestly forgive myself.
✨ For all those who have wronged you, who have brought you pain—see them clearly. Then release them:
I freely forgive you.
✨ And for yourself—for all the ways you’ve betrayed your own goodness, abandoned your own needs, hurt your own heart:
I freely forgive myself.
Feel the weight lifting. Feel the space opening.
💫 Now, into that space, let loving-kindness flow.
Love alone is not enough. We must pair it with kindness—the quality that stands opposite to hatred and anger. Together, they become the medicine for everything that divides us.
Begin with yourself:
May I be well, happy, and peaceful.
Then let it expand outward like light from a flame:
May my parents be well, happy, and peaceful.
May my family be well, happy, and peaceful.
May my friends be well, happy, and peaceful.
Don’t stop there. Keep going:
May indifferent people be well, happy, and peaceful.
May unfriendly people be well, happy, and peaceful.
May even my enemies be well, happy, and peaceful.
And finally, embrace all beings everywhere:
May all beings in this universe be well, happy, and peaceful.
May suffering ones be suffering free.
May the grieving shed all grief.
May all beings find relief.
🌍 This is how we create a new earth—not through grand gestures or distant hopes, but through the quiet, courageous work of forgiving and loving. Starting with ourselves. Expanding to include everyone. Holding nothing back.
When you open your eyes, the world hasn’t changed.
But you have.
And that changes everything.
May you and all beings be happy and at peace. 🙏
