World Meditation Day 21 December 2025
World Meditation Day 21/12/25
15-Minute Initiative for World Meditation Day
From the World Meditation Committee:
Dear Friends,
Meditation is not only a vital way to promote health and mental well-being, but also embodies profound values—fostering harmonious coexistence between humanity and nature. World Meditation Day, as a bridge transcending ethnicities, cultures, and regions, connects countless practitioners and mobilizes collective strength to advance the progress of human civilization.
Established by the 79th Session of the UN General Assembly on December 6, 2024, this annual observance falls on December 21—chosen to align with the winter solstice in the Northern Hemisphere, symbolizing inner stillness and cosmic balance. This international celebration aims to raise awareness about the benefits of mediation.
We sincerely invite you to join this global moment of silent meditation on December 21st, World Meditation Day, at 12:00 Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).
