Truth is personal.

Two people can live the same moment and walk away with completely different truths.

That doesn’t make one right and the other wrong — it just means we all see life through our own lens.

You don’t have to agree with someone else’s truth to respect it.

Listen. Reflect. Let people be seen for their perspective.

💬 Everyone's story matters.

Figuring out who we are and becoming our best selves isn’t easy. Some days it feels impossible. But here’s the truth: 🌱 There is hope. As long as you believe things can and will get better, you’re already growing.

Why it’s hard: – We carry our past – We doubt ourselves – We compare – We forget that growth takes time

What helps: 💭 Reflect 💛 Be kind to yourself 🚶‍♀️ Take small steps 🌟 Believe in your evolution

“You don’t have to be perfect. You just have to keep going.”

Whether you’ve known me for years or we’ve just recently connected, I wanted to share a bit about what brought me to this point—and what I’m hoping to build moving forward.

What started as casual coffee runs with friends somehow turned into a full-blown personality trait. 🥲 Now it’s a running topic in the therapy space… not sure if it counts as a collection or an obsession, but either way—can’t go wrong with Dutch Bros. 💙☕

Had the honor of presenting Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) to the providers and other staff at UCHC in Green Valley last week. Talking about recognizing the signs someone is considering su***de, about the 49,000+ people each year that take their own life in the US alone and providing space for people to be able to ask the question is difficult but extremely important. It was heartening to see such genuine engagement from the team—proof that these conversations, while uncomfortable, are necessary and welcomed. Su***de prevention is everyone’s responsibility, and it starts with awareness, compassion, and the courage to speak up. I’m grateful for the opportunity to share QPR with such a dedicated group and hopeful that more communities will embrace these life-saving tools. Let’s keep the conversation going. 💛 ***dePrevention

We would like to take a moment to introduce Haylee Weise, an MSW Intern from Grand Canyon University! Lighthouse CCAZ is excited to have the opportunity to work with Haylee and take part in her learning over the next several months!!

Haylee obtained her dual bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Care, Health, and Society, as well as a minor in Business Administration in 2022 from the University of Arizona. She has been working in outpatient mental health, specifically with adolescents, since receiving her bachelor’s degrees, and also has experience working in an inpatient facility during her first field placement this past year.

She loves to work with others, learn their stories, and help them become the best versions of themselves. Empowering individuals to take control of their lives and guiding them to build their path to get there is one of the many reasons she decided to pursue a degree in social work. Haylee takes honor in giving clients a safe space to grow and learn more about themselves.

Please help us welcome Haylee to Lighthouse CCAZ!!

Lighthouse Counseling and Consulting began in April of 2024 by our founder and sole provider, Darrin Ambrosino.
Darrin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who obtained his Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Arizona State University in 2019 and has over six years of clinical experience with two years of providing clinical supervision to associate level clinicians.
Darrin has a passion for helping people help themselves through whatever challenges or hardships life puts in their way. He has experience working with children, adolescents and adults as well as First Responders specifically as a population.
Not only does Darrin enjoy helping others, he finds teaching others in the community to be more than rewarding. He has led numerous QPR trainings, teaching attendees how to recognize the signs of su***de and ask the hard question, whether or not someone is considering it. Darrin has also provided educational sessions teaching about the state of mental health in children and adolescents today as well as what it means to uphold Ethics and Boundaries as a First Responder in a Peer Support role.
The journey transitioning from over six years in Community Mental Health into Private Practice full time has been scary, amazing and overall wonderful and we look forward to continuing along this path to see where it takes us.
Although Darrin is the only provider, he is pleased to welcome his first MSW intern into the practice for the next ten months or so! Stay tuned for more info on who that might be!
