Tahoma Clinic

Tahoma Clinic Office of Dr. Jonathan V. Wright Our approach includes a full health evaluation, working to normalize body biochemistry and energies by natural means.

The Tahoma Clinic emphasizes the use of natural materials and natural energies for both the prevention and treatment of all health problems not requiring surgical intervention. Our 35 years of experience have taught us that a large number of symptoms and conditions unresponsive to conventional treatment–or only suppressed by patent medications–will yield to the application of Nature’s remedies. This includes (but isn’t limited to) diet and dietary components such as vitamins, minerals, amino acids, essential fatty acids, and metabolites found in the human body, bioidentical hormones, botanicals, homeopathics, ultraviolet, infrared and magnetic energies, as well as physical exercise. Nutrition and individual nutrients are assessed for optimal amounts for you, with progress measured as appropriate. Digestion, assimilation, metabolism, nutrient deficiencies and excesses, allergies and toxicities, and hormone balance are all considered. Your Tahoma Clinic physician will set up a personalized treatment program for you, taking into consideration any health problems you may already have while working to help prevent future health problems as possible.

DIGITAL PULSE ANALYSER

SCREENING FOR ATHEROSCLEROSIS (HARDENING OF THE ARTERIES)

Eventually, all of us get some atherosclerosis in the lining of the arteries.
Atherosclerosis is the result of the gradual lining of blood vessels with oily or calcified material (plaque), giving stiffer, narrower arteries that carry less blood. When the heart pumps, it sends a pressure wave through the blood vessels. Most of the time the vessels bulge slightly and then resume normal shape as the wave passes through.

Aside from the heart arteries being of primary interest, atherosclerosis limits the blood supply to all organs and body sites as it stiffens and reduces circulation in the arteries. Therefore, it reduces overall health and of particular concern are heart, brain, and kidney health.

The DPA can easily detect the stiffness of the arteries and grade it on a scale of concern. The instrument uses a red light through the finger capillaries to detect the wave shape and analysis provides a grade of A to G. Using this grading system, further evaluation and treatment can be initiated.

If you would like to schedule a screening with Dr. Lamson please call us at 206-812-9988.

Intravenous Ozone and Ultraviolet Light

IV ozone combined with UVBI (ultraviolet blood irradiation) is a safe and effective treatment for almost all chronic diseases and infections.

Ozone and UVBI IV therapy are used for:
• Allergies
• Autoimmune disease
• Bacterial, viral and fungal infections
• Cancer
• Chronic fatigue
• Circulatory disease
• Cardiovascular disease
• Inflammation
• Joint pain
• Lyme
• EBV

That is just a shortlist of what these healing modalities are helpful for. Ozone helps to restore mitochondrial function which is at the root of disease. Mitochondria is where all your energy is made for your body. Ozone can restore the function of our mitochondria! This is why it is called regenerative medicine and is great for anti-aging and so much more.

UVBI can be used as a standalone for seasonal depression and chronic infections however when paired with ozone the two modalities work synergically to clear out any infections, restore optimal function of your mitochondria and stimulate a natural anti-inflammatory cascade. This means you are getting benefit upon benefit when you have one of these treatments and the effects are long-lasting. This is one of my go-to treatments for long-haul COVID and chronic fatigue.

I love to get these IVs myself when I need a boost or am feeling a little under the weather. I always feel like I’m glowing from the inside and I have taken my blood to an epic spa day afterward. We currently offer both of these modalities onsite at the Tahoma Clinic. Please don’t hesitate to reach out @ 206-812-9988 with any questions. Come experience the healing and inner glow for yourself.

Let’s talk about herbs!

Did you know that Stinging Nettle (Urtica dioca) is one of the most nutritive herbs and it’s most likely growing your area fit for harvest right now? Stinging Nettle is wonderful at easing allergies, reducing inflammation, and providing our bodies with much-needed vitamins and minerals. Nature is so wise and gives us the exact medicine we need for each season. Stinging Nettles grow right at the start of spring and are best harvested when young to help our bodies process the plethora of pollens to come.

For those of you ready for all the benefits of Stinging Nettles without the harvest not to worry, you can pick up a supplement of freeze-dried Nettle leaf and enjoy all the benefits without the extra work. We carry a high-quality freeze-dried Nettle Leaf right here at the Tahoma Clinic https://tahomadispensary.com/urtica-nettle-leaf-300-mg-90-caps/

My favorite springtime recipe for stinging nettles is homemade Nettle Pesto. You can add it to almost everything. You can make a big batch and freeze it, so it lasts you well into the next season.

Fresh Nettle Pesto

• 4 cups fresh stinging nettle tops
o The nettles can go straight into the mixer after rinsing. No blanching is necessary. The mixing will break up all the hollow needles and leave all the good stuff that helps your body process histamine
• 2/3- 1 cup Extra virgin olive oil
• 1 cup of nuts of your choice
o pine nuts, almonds, walnuts, cashews, etc.
o for those with nut allergies pine nuts are actually seeds or you can use sesame seeds
• 2-5 cloves of fresh garlic
• ½ cup parmesan cheese
o dairy alternative is ¼ cup nutritional yeast
• Couple pinches of high-quality mineral salt
• Fresh lemon juice to taste (optional)

Put all the ingredients in a high-speed blender or food processor and mix on high until it’s a nice creamy consistency. You can eat a couple spoonfuls directly for acute allergy relief.

Harvesting Tips & Tricks:

*If you are brave enough to harvest yourself, be sure to wear gloves due to the sting.
*Be sure to pick up a plant identification book and know exactly what you are harvesting before ever consuming any plant. It’s a bit easier with stinging Nettles because the smart sting you get when you touch this plant is a dead giveaway that you have the right specimen!

With spring just around the corner, it is a great time to start preparing our bodies to be able to process the pollens. Our ability to process the extra histamine from the pollen and our liver health are directly correlated.

A great way to support your body during this spring season is to eat foods that are nourishing and restorative to the liver. Fresh, bitter, flavor-filled greens, lemon, and beets are a liver’s delight. When you buy beets, make sure you get beets with the green tops still attached. These are a wonderful addition to any spring cleanse meal. Here is a little recipe for the upcoming pollen season to keep your liver happy and your allergies at bay.

• 1 bunch red or yellow beets with tops
• 1 shallot
• 1 tablespoon organic ghee or grass-fed butter or avocado oil
• Mineral salt
• Fresh lemon
• Favorite herb that sounds yummy: cilantro, parsley, dill, basil

Instructions:
Dice shallot. Peel and chop beets into little cubes. Add to sauté pan with your choice of fat. Sauté until beets are tender to your liking, adding a small amount of water as needed. Chop beet greens and stems and add to the pan. Sauté until greens are tender approx. 2-3 mins. Chop chosen herb and add a handful to the pan, sauté until aroma is released. Season with salt and a splash of fresh lemon juice. Enjoy!
