✈️ FREE Sensory Day at the Museum of Flight! ✈️

The Museum of Flight is hosting a Sensory Day at no cost, designed to offer a quieter, more accessible experience for visitors who benefit from reduced crowds and sensory-friendly accommodations.

Pre-registration is required to attend — spots are limited, so be sure to sign up early!

Such an amazing opportunity to explore one of Seattle’s best museums in a supportive and welcoming environment. ❤️

Sensory Days offer access to the Museum, during off-hours, where families of children, teenagers and young adults with cognitive disabilities can explore and self-guide through the galleries with adjusted light and sound for the best possible experience.

What an amazing time connecting, relaxing, and celebrating our incredible teams from both the Tukwila and Tacoma locations! It was great to step away from the busy day-to-day and enjoy some well-deserved fun together.

💬 Why did you choose to work as a CBT?
"Working as a CBT felt like the right combination of utilizing my skill set from past experiences in different careers and my passion for working with children. I enjoy being able to work one-on-one to help my clients grow."

💬 What do you like most about your work?
“ It is really fulfilling to know that I am making a difference in someone’s life by showing up to work every day. Being able to celebrate my clients’ successes and achievements helps keep me motivated—even on difficult days."

💬 What’s one of the biggest challenges you face?
"A challenging aspect of this job is consistently adapting to meet the needs of the client day-to-day. Every client is different, and their needs may vary from one day to the next. Staying flexible enough to appropriately respond while also maintaining consistency can be a challenging balancing act."

This spotlight gives us a chance to celebrate their hard work, dedication, and the unique strengths they bring to our community. Congratulations to this month's Employee Spotlight, Leticia Guo, a behavior technician at Northwest ABA!

💙Why did you choose to work as a Certified Behavior Technician (CBT)?
I chose this field after I graduated from college. I have always wanted to work with children. Getting into this field meets my goal perfectly. I could use my professional techniques and skills to help every client I have worked with. And I enjoy helping every kid to grow in a loving environment.

💚You have been a long-term employee with us? What motivates you to come to work every day?
Northwest ABA provides a really great and helping environment. Every colleague is awesome. Everyone is supporting each other and helping each one out makes feel welcome and safe to work in an environment like this. Also seeing progress and improvements of my clients is another biggest motivation for me. Every small step my clients take, motivates me to work hard with them, and help them to achieve more goals!

💙What are some challenges you face as a CBT?
As a CBT the most challenging part is building connections with my clients. Every kid is very different. Finding their motivation and the suitable techniques might take a while.

💚What are your career or personal aspirations?
I have been thinking about working on child development and an ABA degree. Getting more professional knowledge and getting to know more about child development could help me to develop in this field. Also it will make sure my clients get more professional guidance.
