✨ Employee Spotlight of the Month ✨

This month, we’re excited to highlight one of our incredible Registered Behavior Technicians, Allysa Dauron, who works in school settings. She brings thoughtfulness, flexibility, and a strong sense of collaboration to her work each day, and we’re so grateful to have her as part of the Northwest ABA team. Here’s a little more about her and her experience as a BT:

💚What do you enjoy most about working as a Behavior Technician in a school setting, and how does that environment help you support your learners?

I enjoy the sense of community and consistency that a school setting creates for my learners. Being in the school environment allows me to collaborate closely with teachers, paraprofessionals, and my supervisor so we can support each student as a unified team. I love watching my learners grow more confident in the classroom and seeing their hard work translate into real academic and social success.

💙What is your favorite part about working for Northwest ABA, and what makes this company a good fit for you?

My favorite part about working for Northwest ABA is the genuine support I feel from my supervisors and team. I appreciate that Northwest ABA values collaboration, communication, and treating every learner as a whole person. I’ve always felt encouraged to grow, ask questions, and use my strengths.

💚What’s one of the biggest challenges you face as a BT?

One of the biggest challenges I face is balancing the layered needs in each environment while staying attuned to the unique needs of my individual learner. It can be fast-paced, and sometimes plans need to shift quickly. I’ve learned to stay flexible, patient, and solution-oriented.

💙When you’re not working, what do you enjoy doing for fun or to recharge?
When I’m not working, I love spending time with my family and being in nature. I also enjoy creative outlets like painting or journaling. Anything that helps me slow down, stay present, and connect with the people I care about really helps me reset for the week.

✈️ FREE Sensory Day at the Museum of Flight! ✈️

The Museum of Flight is hosting a Sensory Day at no cost, designed to offer a quieter, more accessible experience for visitors who benefit from reduced crowds and sensory-friendly accommodations.

Pre-registration is required to attend — spots are limited, so be sure to sign up early!

Such an amazing opportunity to explore one of Seattle’s best museums in a supportive and welcoming environment. ❤️

Sensory Days offer access to the Museum, during off-hours, where families of children, teenagers and young adults with cognitive disabilities can explore and self-guide through the galleries with adjusted light and sound for the best possible experience.

What an amazing time connecting, relaxing, and celebrating our incredible teams from both the Tukwila and Tacoma locations! It was great to step away from the busy day-to-day and enjoy some well-deserved fun together.

"Working as a CBT felt like the right combination of utilizing my skill set from past experiences in different careers and my passion for working with children. I enjoy being able to work one-on-one to help my clients grow."

“ It is really fulfilling to know that I am making a difference in someone’s life by showing up to work every day. Being able to celebrate my clients’ successes and achievements helps keep me motivated—even on difficult days."

💬 What’s one of the biggest challenges you face?
"A challenging aspect of this job is consistently adapting to meet the needs of the client day-to-day. Every client is different, and their needs may vary from one day to the next. Staying flexible enough to appropriately respond while also maintaining consistency can be a challenging balancing act."
